Online Score Entry - Cloud and Hosted systems Extension

This extension is available to customers operating the Cloud or Hosted editions of HandicapMaster.

These notes assume the user has familiarity with the standard online score entry facility.

Contents

Enhancements provided by this extension

This extension provides the following additional facilities above those provided in the standard Master Scoreboard online Score Entry facility:
  • Stableford Points are visible on Scorecard when players enter their scores online.

  • Players will be asked to identify the person who agreed their scores (their 'Marker'). These names will be listed in the Analyse Scores Entered lists in HandicapMaster.

  • You may ask players to sign-in online before play.

  • You may restrict entries to only those players listed on a Start Sheet (GOLD edition).

  • Competition Fees Purse; Entry Fees may be deducted when players sign-in online (Subscription, Invoice and Payments option required, with 'Competition Purse' turned on).

  • You no longer need to 'Import' scores from Master Scoreboard into HandicapMaster at the end of the competition, or when you wish to update a leader board. Scores are delivered directly into your HandicapMaster system as they are entered.

  • You may enable members to return General Play Scores online.

  • You may enable members to enter Knock-Out Match Results online.

Limitations

This facility is only available to customers operating the Cloud or Hosted editions of HandicapMaster.
Competiton scores may only be entered for singles competitions.

Requirements

A pre-requisite to your members being able to enter scores through Master Scoreboard is that your organisations' Master Scoreboard account must be protected by individual passwords.
You must be running HandicapMaster version 12 or greater.

Using the additional features

Enabling a competition for Score Entry

This remains the same as with the Standard Online Score Entry.
When opening a new competition, or re-configuring an already-opened competition in HandicapMaster, tick option Players may enter scores online.

Turning on Sign-in before play for a competition

To request players to sign-in before play, when opening a new competition, or re-configuring an already-opened competition in HandicapMaster, tick option Players to sign-in before play.
You may choose whether players sign-in online or through Player Entry. Player Entry will always be available. To also allow sign-in online, select Sign-in option in the Online Score Entry wizard (see above).
You may have both Player Entry sign-in and online sign-in active at the same time for the same competition.

Restricting entry to players on a Start Sheet for a competition

To limit sign-in and/or score entry to only those players added to a Start Sheet, when opening a new competition, or re-configuring an already-opened competition in HandicapMaster, tick option Restrict score entry/sign-in to players listed on a Start Sheet.

Viewing names of players marking scorecards

To view the Markers for scorecards returned, view Analyse Scores Entered for the competition. An additional column Scorecard Marker will be visible in the list.
If you need to print this list, select File drop-down menu, then Print Report. This will convert the list into a report which you can print as normal.
