- HandicapMaster requires approximately 50MB of hard disk space to operate.
Note this figure does not include disk space for data storage which depends on various factors.
Hardware
It is recommended that
- HandicapMaster be run on a modern personal computer running one of the supported versions of Windows listed below.
- The system have a printer available for use
Microsoft Windows®
HandicapMaster will run on any of the following versions of Microsoft Windows (#1) including 32-bit and 64 bit versions:
- Windows 11
- Windows 10
- Windows 8.1 - Windows 8 RT is not supported
As of 10th January 2023 Microsoft no longer support Windows 8.1.

As of January 2020 Microsoft no longer support Windows 7 SP1.
We STRONGLY recommend that you consider upgrade or replacement of computers running Windows 7 SP1.
HandicapMaster version 12 and greater are not supported on earlier versions of Windows such as Windows Vista and Windows XP and cannot be installed on these versions of Windows which have not been supported by Microsoft for a number of years.
HandicapMaster version 13 requires the the Microsoft .NET Framework version 4.8 (or higher) be installed on your computer. When you install HandicapMaster version 13 if your computer is connected to the internet and the .NET framework 4.8 is not installed then it will be downloaded automatically. However if you computer is not connected to the internet then the above link may be used to download a copy that may then be copied to removable media and take to the offline computer.

Windows 10 and Windows 11 should already have .NET Framework version 4.8 installed.
We also recommend that your version of windows is regularly updated with the most recent security updates from Microsoft.
Note #1: Non-English Language versions of Windows (such as Japanese or Arabic Language) are not supported.
