How to enable players to enter their scores through Master Scoreboard

This facility was originally added to the Master Scoreboard service to assist our customers to overcome some of the difficulties presented during the COVID-19 pandemic.

It allows players to enter their own scores online, when they are unable to enter the clubhouse to enter their scores into the computer.

Configuring individual passwords on Master Scoreboard

A pre-requisite to your members being able to enter scores through Master Scoreboard is that your organisations' Master Scoreboard account must be protected by individual passwords.
Skip this section if your organisation already has enabled individual passwords on Master Scoreboard.
Master Scoreboard individual passwords allow organisations to offer a number of additional services to their members. These include online bookings (Gold editions only), notifications by email and online score entry.
Before enabling individual passwords there are some points to note:
  • If you have not yet uploaded any data to MasterScoreboard.co.uk then this option will not be available.
  • If your Master Scoreboard entry does not have any password protection (some historic entries only) then once you enable individual passwords you can only revert to a site wide password, you cannot turn password protection off.
  • We recommend that your organisation's Master Scoreboard administrator advise your members in advance of the date when you will enable individual passwords to prevent a sudden influx of members requesting assistance to access Master Scoreboard.
To enable individual passwords on Master Scoreboard:
  1. Log in to your Master Scoreboard Control Panel
  2. On the main page scroll down to the Password Management section.
    Click Manage Individual Passwords button.
  3. From here you may enable Individual passwords and reset individual passwords.
