Update 12.0.19 - 31 October 2023 - Update Package 1419

• AMEND - Eclectics; when the handicap allowance selected is 'None', It is now possible to select a date for handicaps to be used for divisions, if applicable.
• AMEND - General Bookings; You may now create a bookings schedule with an interval of 75 minutes between times.
• AMEND - Player Handicap record; When displaying a player's recent WHS handicap record, an additional 'Competition Score' column is now included, advising whether the DotGolf system considered the score as a competition score or not (WHS Editions; England, Wales and Ireland).
• AMEND - Program Start-up; When the system clock on the computer reports the current year as before 2010 or after 2050, an error message is now displayed and program execution is halted.
• AMEND - Send Scores to WHS; When sending an 'initial handicap score' to the WHS server, the score will now be flagged as a non-competition score, to help the DotGolf system avoid assuming that it was a competition score (WHS Editions; England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland).
• AMEND - WHS Handicapping; Amend call to DotGolf server in some cases for improved success at looking up cross-border player Handicap Indexes (WHS Editions, England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland)
• FIX - Local handicapping; When adjusting a player's handicap with a manual adjustment, and handicaps were being adjusted using the 'average of best recent scores' method, any freeze against the player's handicap was not being reported as removed, despite this being necessarily actioned in order to apply the adjustment.
• FIX - Player Import; In some cases National Numbers were not imported.

Update 12.0.18 - 19 September 2023 - Update Package 1418

• AMEND - Create Scorecards; Competition scorecards created from a Start Sheet are amended to include hole distances (when activated) and also additional information such as Game Number, Tee Time and Tee presented in a new scorecard header section. Scorecards are now generated in the order players are included on the Start Sheet.
• FIX - Apply Scores; When closing a competition and using the report option 'Extract List of Competitors to CSV file when Applying Scores', unexpected error 5 ('Illegal characters in path') occurred when no extract file name had been selected.
• FIX - Change of Competition Name; Unexpected error 5 ('String or binary data would be truncated in table 'Multi.dbo.HANDICAP_SCORES'') could occur after changing the name of a competition.
• FIX - Course Scorecard Downloads; After downloading a Course Scorecard from a CDH, and the tee colour name for the scorecard had changed, parameters for entering scores online through Master Scoreboard website were not updated, causing problems when scores were subsequently entered online (WHS Editions).

• AMEND - Golf Course Scorecards; Add capability to download hole yardages from central WHS server (WHS Editions, HMLTD WHS Services only).
• AMEND - Publishing to Master Scoreboard ; Reduce time taken to extract Handicap Record data when publishing to Master Scoreboard (LOCAL Handicapping).
• FIX - Configure Competition; When changing the Tees used for an opened team competition, the new selection of Tee colours could be applied to the wrong set of players for scorecards already entered.
• FIX - Record Initial Handicap Card; After selecting an 'Away' course as the venue for the Initial Handicap Card, an error message reporting missing course details was displayed, in error (WHS Editions; HMLTD WHS Services only).

Update 12.0.16 - 22 August 2023 - Update Package 1416

• AMEND - Eclectics, Orders of Merit and Best-of Series; When adding selected scores for a competition to the results, the Tees that the player played from are now included in the selection list.
• FIX - Handicap Records; When displaying a player's WHS Handicap Record, the player's Score Differential could be displayed as 'Unknown' in error (WHS Editions, England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland).
• FIX - Handicapping; When calculating an Adjusted Gross Score for a 9-hole score, and the score was returned over a 9-hole course, the wrong number of handicap strokes could have been calculated for the un-played 9 holes (Local Handicapping, WHS Handicapping (excluding UK and Ireland)).
• FIX - Player Entry; A player could be reported as being ineligible to enter a competition because of holding a handicap out of range for a restricted competition if their handicap on the system was out of the eligible range, even if a check on their handicap returned a handicap within range for that date (WHS Editions).
• FIX - Player Entry; Unexpected error ' Error: 5: The ConnectionString property has not been initialized.' May have happened in rare cases a short time after midnight when some internal housekeeping was run (a single customer report).
• FIX - Start Sheets; Unexpected error 13 ('Conversion from string '0.0' to type 'Decimal' is not valid) could occur when the option to select a group of players by handicap range, for the purpose of selecting which tees they will play from, was chosen and the option had previously been used on a Windows computer running a different international culture.
• FIX - Unexpected error 5 (' Value FromPage is out of range.') occurred when trying to print a start sheet report that had no data.
• FIX - Visitors; 'Save and More' option failed to save additional records after the first record had been saved.

Update 12.0.15 - 25 July 2023 - Update Package 1415

• NEW - Integration with external Membership System; New external membership system callback 137 is added.
• AMEND - Bookings Reports; The 'History of Bookings (Closed Competitions)' report and the 'Online Payments Received (Closed Competitions)' report are amended to no longer be restricted to closed competitions, but to reflect any recent competition instead. This is to overcome a problem whereby the data for closed competitions was not been reported.
• AMEND - Membership card number and PINS report is now included in Local handicapping Editions.
• AMEND - When re-configuring an opened competition with score cards, that results in some score cards being removed, the option to refund competition fees (when using HandicapMaster competition fee purse) and the option to remove the score from the player's handicap record is now added.
• FIX - Apply Scores; Unexpected error 91 ('Object reference not set to an instance of an object') was reported once when generating the Position-based handicap adjustments report for a competition (LOCAL handicapping editions only).
• FIX - Publish to England Golf WHS Platform; The warning that a membership update for a new or re-joined member cannot be sent to England Golf following England Golf disabling this facility would be displayed as an error for the same player every publish (WHS Editions, England only).

Update 12.0.14 - 11 July 2023 - Update Package 1414 - Interim release, available on request

• AMEND - Player Entry; Prevent multiple copies of Player Entry being started when the Player Entry icon is accidentally clicked many times in rapid succession.
• AMEND - Publish to England Golf WHS Platform; England Golf has withdrawn the facility for customers to report new members or members rejoining, from their competition software, through to the WHS platform. Customers are no longer able to obtain new National IDs for players from their competition software. Access to these facilities in HandicapMaster are therefore removed.
• AMEND - Windows Regional settings; Further improve handling of decimal numbers in the system when users with different Windows Regional Settings (time and number formats) are sharing a system.
• FIX - ClubWebsite; Unexpected error 6 ('Arithmetic operation resulted in an overflow.') can result when running ClubWebsite for the first time as the first run wizard allowed for very large numbers in error.
• FIX - Leader Board; When displaying the leader board and publishing the leader board to Master Scoreboard, Gross scores from a Net Competition would be shown in divisions in error. These incorrect divisions would also be replicated on Master Scoreboard.

Update 12.0.13 - 27 June 2023 - Update Package 1413

• AMEND - Add new player; After adding a new member or visitor, the new player is identified as the current selection in the members (or visitors) lists.
• AMEND - Best of Series, Eclectics, Order of Merit; Where the option for player to 'Sign up in advance' has been selected the list of players displayed now includes handicap details.
• AMEND - Golf Course Scorecards; If the download of revised course scorecards includes a change in description of the tee colour name, an attempt is now made to adjust the tees used in opened competitions accordingly (WHS Editions).
• AMEND - Import Bookings from BRS; Convert HTML currency entities to valid XML before processing the list of Competitions.
• AMEND - Open Competition and General Bookings; You may now offer up to 12 discounts, the previous limit was 4 discounts.
• AMEND - When navigating through HandicapMaster a previously selected item in a list on the main HandicapMaster window is now displayed near the top of the window when the list has data that can be scrolled. Previously the selected item would have been displayed toward the bottom of the window.
• FIX - Apply Scores; Handicap Adjustments could fail to be applied where the handicapping configuration had been saved on a Windows computer running in one international culture and the competition closed on another Windows computer running a different international culture (Local Handicapping editions only).
• FIX - ClubWebsite; Unexpected Error 6 ('Arithmetic operation resulted in an overflow.') may have occurred when entering Master Scoreboard details.
• FIX - General Bookings; Unexpected error 5 ('End of file expected.') may have happened when displaying Report of General bookings in rare cases, due to the partner name containing a back slash character.
• FIX - HandicapMaster; Unexpected error 5 ('Format of the initialization string does not conform to specification starting at index XX.') occurred if SQL Catalog string contained Double quotes.
• FIX - Leader Board; Leading scores were not always displayed for team competitions when the competition round was aggregated with a future-dated competition round.
• FIX - Leader Board; On occasion, the names of players in a team competition could run into the team score on the screen, making it difficult to read.
• FIX - Player Entry; When requesting a scorecard issue number to be entered, minus numbers could be entered, sometimes causing an unexpected error to occur.
• FIX - Unexpected error 91 ('Object reference not set to an instance of an object.'), when using 'Import Visitors by National ID' may have happen in some cases (WHS Editions).

Update 12.0.12 - 23 May 2023 - Update Package 1412

• NEW - Start Sheets; You may now print scorecards for players in a singles competition, from the entrants added to a Start Sheet.
• AMEND - Configure Competition; After changing the date of an opened competition, HandicapMaster will now warn if an alternative 'first round date' has been set, in case this needs changing too.
• FIX - Start Sheet Labels; if a competition was configured to be played from a choice of tees, and the Start Sheet configured for each player to decide themselves which tee to play from, then when the Start Sheet Labels report was created, the user was not asked which tee colours to default to for the purpose of including handicaps on the labels (Gold editions only).
• FIX - Start Sheets; When importing players from bookings, where bookings were configured as a two-tee start, in blocks of times, and additional blocks had been added after creating the bookings schedule, the bookings were imported against the wrong set of times.
• FIX - Unexpected error 5 ('Incorrect syntax near 'R'.') occurred when displaying results report for 'Gross Scores (adjusted for Tees Used)' report.

Update 12.0.11 - 17 May 2023 - Update Package 1411 - Interim release, available on request

• NEW - 'Import Visitors by National ID' using a csv file is added (WHS Editions). This may be of particular interest to 'Tournament operators'.
• NEW - Letters and E-mails; You may now use Field Codes to substitute membership 'User defined fields' data into Letters and E-mails.
• AMEND - Exit Program; The time taken for HandicapMaster app to close when exited is reduced.
• AMEND - Edit Member or Visitor; When editing an existing member or visitor the Age Group will no longer be automatically adjusted if the date of Birth field is entered or amended unless auto adjustment of age groups is enabled.
• FIX - Open a New Competition; It was not possible to open a new competition with a date beyond June 2024 (WHS Editions only).

Update 12.0.10 - 11 May 2023 - Update Package 1410 - Interim release, available on request

• NEW - User Activity; You may now display a log of activity undertaken in the HandicapMaster system (FILE, USER ACTIVITY).
• AMEND - Email Log; The E-mail Log report is now displayed as a scrollable list, covering the last 3 months, for improved access to the log. You may now view the log as a report, for a chosen date. You may now export the full log to spreadsheet (CSV) external file for further analysis.
• AMEND - Letters; You may now use the TAB key to enter TAB characters into the body text of the Letter.
• AMEND - Player Entry Messages; You may now use the TAB key to enter TAB characters into the body text of the Player Entry screen message.
• AMEND - Sending E-mails; Error reporting when sending e-mails is improved.
• FIX - Handicap Certificate; Unexpected error 13 ('Conversion from string 'Verdadero' to type 'Boolean' is not valid) could occur when creating a Handicap Certificate if the report settings had been saved on a Spanish language PC and the certificate requested on an English language PC.
• FIX - Local Handicapping; When undoing a score from a player's Handicap Record and the choice to undo the score from the player's Playing Record too was agreed, the score would not be deleted from the player's Handicap Record if it had already been deleted from their Playing Record (Local Handicapping editions only).
• FIX - Windows Regional settings; Correct interpretation of floating-point numbers data received as JSON data when the local computer is operating some European number formats, that was preventing Handicap Index values and Course Rating values being downloaded from WHS servers, and more.
• FIX - Women's Silver and Bronze Medals report; Where player had a handicap index of 20.0 they were included in both Silver and Bronze divisions of the report in error, rather than just being included the Silver division (WHS Editions; Ireland only).

Update 12.0.9 - 25 April 2023 - Update Package 1409

• FIX - Member PIN numbers; Once the same PIN had been used for more than one player record, the same default PIN number was offered each time a new player was added to the system.

These can occur when away members are not correctly set up as 'secondary' members on the WHS Platform (WHS Editions; England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland only).
• FIX - Best Scores Analysis report; For Foursomes, Greensomes and Scrambles competitions, the report could show the wrong results.
• FIX - Competition Results; Descriptions in 'Countback' column were sometimes not fully included in the results reports for 'Front 9 Holes' and 'Back 9 Holes' reports.
• FIX - Configure Competition; When reconfiguring a stroke-play competition, it was not possible to switch an 18-hole competition to a 9-hole competition, due to the previously selected course not being compatible (WHS Editions; England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland).
• FIX - General Bookings; 'General Bookings Schedule (Date Range)' report; Unexpected error 6 ('Arithmetic operation resulted in an overflow') occurred if a single date was selected that contained a general bookings schedule.

Update 12.0.6 - 9 March 2023 - Update Package 1406 - Interim release, available on request

• AMEND - 'Handicap Records (Selected Range of Handicaps)' report; This can now report Visitor records.

• AMEND - Licencing; An 'Enter Licence Code' button is added when the 'licence has expired' screen is displayed.
• AMEND - Subscriptions Option; On the ACCOUNTING menu -> OPTIONS a new option to allow the 'Amount due' on the Subscriptions in Current Accounting Year or All Subscriptions lists to be displayed or not. Including the 'Amount Due' can increase the time take for these lists to be displayed.
• FIX - Subscriptions Option; The recent amendment when the option 'Use member's positive balance to credit within subscription' is selected and the balance is sufficient to pay the full subscription did not correctly set the member's expiry date.
• FIX - Competition Results; Unexpected error -2147221503 ('Invalid use of Null (Query -706, Column 'MINIMUM_PLAYERS_PER_TEAM')') was reported in one case when trying to generate a competition results report (including when publishing to Master Scoreboard).
• FIX - Competition Templates; An incorrect set of handicap allowances could be displayed on screen when creating or editing a template for a team Scramble competition.
• FIX - Competition Templates; When selecting a Scramble competition limited to 2 player teams only, it was not possible to select the Handicap Allowances previously available in HandicapMaster version 11 and earlier.
• FIX - General Bookings; When displaying existing booking schedules, the member and visitor prices were shown rounded to the nearest pound or euro, not displaying pence or cents, in error.
• FIX - Import; When importing players from CSV file, unexpected error 91 ('Object reference not set to an instance of an object') could occur if a player already existed in the database with a National ID, but no National ID was included in the import file for this player.
• FIX - Local Handicapping; When operating handicapping based upon the average of the best recent scores for each player, and a manual adjustment to their handicap was applied, the adjustment was only applied to their recent handicap record entries. When using a maximum described amount for handicaps to increase after each score, it was not always possible to successfully apply a manual adjustment as a consequence. When a handicap adjustment is applied to a player's handicap, this adjustment is now applied to all of their scores in their handicap record and is also applied to their 'initial handicap' value.

• NEW - ClubWebsite; A new page item 'Club Open Knock-outs' is added, allowing for the easy addition of public access to any Knock-out competitions published to Master Scoreboard that allow Visitors to enter.

• AMEND - Reports; When sending a report by e-mail, and where the report is not targeted to specific recipients on the bases of the data in the report a warning message 'The FULL report will be sent to ALL recipients of the e-mail. OK to continue?' is displayed. This is to help clarify that all recipients of the email will receive the full report, not only any pages relating to the recipient.
• AMEND - Send Email; When sending an e-mail, you may now choose to include field codes 'EmailAddress', 'TelephoneNo', 'MobileNo' and 'FaxNo' in the body of the e-mail.
• AMEND - Subscriptions Option - Payment Recording Wizard. Improve the wizard to make it clearer by including the payment amount in the list of payments to be recorded.
• AMEND - Subscriptions Option; When raising subscriptions if the option 'Use member's positive balance to credit within subscription' is selected and the balance is sufficient to pay the full subscription, the payment for zero that is raised is now marked as paid (as is the subscription) when the subscription is raised and this is noted on the Subscription invoice.
• AMEND - The text above the Bookings List for a competition will now indicate if a Reserves List is available.
• FIX - Competition Template wizard; On screens with a high 'scale' setting (150% and higher) some of the options in the Template wizard were overwritten and not readable.
• FIX - Competition Template Wizard; When editing an existing competition without divisions and adding divisions the default division titles were not filled in correctly.
• FIX - Handicap Index update; In one reported case, a network timeout whilst downloading the latest member Handicap Indexes resulted in a player's record being incorrectly changed to 'Past Member' (WHS Editions, England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland).
• FIX - Managing Bookings in HandicapMaster; Unexpected error 6 ' Arithmetic operation resulted in an overflow.' May have occurred when trying to add members to a bookings reserve list.
• FIX - New Member or Visitor; In some cases, when selecting to create a new member or visitor record, the system stalled for up to 60 seconds.
• FIX - Player Entry; Unexpected error 5 (' Error: 5: Value of '0' is not valid for 'emSize'. 'emSize' should be greater than 0 and less than or equal to System.Single.MaxValue.') May have occurred with a screen with a very small screen width.
• FIX - Start Sheets; In one reported case, Unexpected Error 91 ('Object reference not set to an instance of an object') occurred selecting the Tees players were to play from, by player Handicap Range.
• FIX - Team Competitions; In some configurations, the wrong Playing Handicap calculations were displayed when using the 'Configure Competition' option, and also repeated in the notes section on the results sheets.
• FIX - Upgrade from v10 or earlier; Unexpected error 5 ('Invalid column name 'ENTERED_USING') could have occurred upgrading from version 10 or earlier to version 12.
• FIX - View Competition Results; Unexpected error -2147221503 ('Invalid use of Null (Query -30275, Column 'FLAGS')') could occur when viewing competition results or publishing to Master Scoreboard.

Update 12.0.3 - 1 February 2023 - Update Package 1403

• AMEND - Competition Bookings; Improve handling of situation when bookings arrangements data is not successfully received from the Master Scoreboard website.
• AMEND - Handicapping Reports; The following reports have been amended to now list details of 'Away' members too; 'Lowest Handicap Held', 'Handicap Range', 'Away Scores', 'General Play Scores'. Not all of these reports are available in all editions.
• AMEND - Integration with external Membership systems; Option to update player's National ID's from Membership system is added for England, Scotland and Wales, when using 'Remote Requests' updating.
• FIX - Player Entry; When running a team competition permitting teams with as few as a single player to enter, teams may not have been able to enter any scores due to incorrect message 'Sign-in required' even when the team was already signed in.
• FIX - Player Entry; When running a team competition permitting teams with as few as a single player to enter, Unexpected Error 80040001 ('Invalid Use of Null') could occur when signing in a single player team.
• FIX - Scramble Competitions; Playing Handicaps for teams of two players in a Scramble were not calculated correctly when the competition was configured to allow a mixture of teams with different numbers of players within the teams.
• FIX - Update Visitor from WHS Platform; When checking a record of a Visitor from another country, the Home Club for the player reverted to the name of their country, rather than the name of their Home Club. This is due to data for the player supplied by DotGolf systems missing this information in some cases. A workaround to circumvent the missing data problem was applied (WHS Editions, England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland).
• FIX - Upgrade from version 9; When upgrading from version 9, Unexpected error 5 ('Column 'MINIMUM_PLAYERS_PER_TEAM' does not belong to table MyDataset') occurred if there were one or more non-Four Ball and non-AmAm style competitions, marked as open to both men and ladies, in the 'Opened Competitions' list.
• FIX - Visitor PIN Numbers; System could 'freeze' when allocating PIN numbers to player records when the Visitor range of numbers was started at zero, in some circumstances.

Update 12.0.2 - 16 January 2023 - Update Package 1402

• AMEND - Competition Results report; Improve the wording of the Competition format section.
• AMEND - General Bookings; Enable 9-hole course booking when booking a second nine to share a tee time that has been partially booked already.
• AMEND - Reports; Added date of consent to GDPR Consent Status report.
• FIX - Find a Player on WHS Platform; After searching for a player by National ID, the 'Add Player to Database' option failed with incorrect message 'This player is reported as a Home club player. Add the player to the system as a Member, rather than as a Visitor' (WHS Editions).
• FIX - HandicapMaster e-mail service; In rare cases it was not possible to clear an e-mail rejection within HandicapMaster. This occurred when an e-mail address was entered into HandicapMaster in mixed or upper case.
• FIX - Order of Merit; Unexpected error 5 ('Invalid column name 'HANDICAP_INDEX_T2'') occurred when restricting to a handicap range and also selecting the option 'Where two or more players tie, share available points equally'.

Update 12.0.1 - 4 January 2023 - Update Package 1401

• FIX - Closed Competitions report; Unexpected error 9 ('Index was outside the bounds of the array') occurred running this report (Hosted and Cloud editions only).
• FIX - Competition Templates; When creating or editing a competition template for team competitions, it was possible to skip over the question as to how many players may make up a team without selecting an answer, in error.
• FIX - Player Home/Away setting; When Handicap Indexes were downloaded for the first time each day, all members with a National ID were converted to 'Away' designation, in error (WHS Editions; Scotland only).
• FIX - Start Sheet Wizard; When using the 'Save As Default' to save the first and 2nd tee (if 2 tee start sheet) the wrong tees were being saved.
