Section 4 - Membership of more than one club
I am a member of two clubs. Can I have two Handicaps?
No. Players must allocate one of their clubs as their HOME CLUB. This club will then administer the players handicap. You are required to report competition scores (from Handicap Qualifying Competitions) played at the second club to your Home Club.
What if I join more than one club?
When you join a second (or subsequent) club, you will be required to choose one of the clubs as your HOME CLUB. Your handicap will be maintained by that club and you will be expected to report any handicap qualifying scores from the other clubs back to your Home Club, in order they can be considered for your handicap record.
When you choose which club will be your Home Club, you are required to advise each of the other clubs you are a member of, of your decision. You are also required to advise your Home Club whenever you become, or cease to be, a member of another club.
Whenever your Playing Handicap is changed at your home club, you are expected to report the new handicap to the other clubs you are a member of.
Note. If your clubs are affiliated to the Golfing Union of Ireland, your Home Club must be the club where you play most of your competitive golf.
