HandicapMaster 8.4.27 (Update Package 777) (11 November 2014)

AMEND - Golf Courses (England); Renamed "Homelands" as "Kingsnorth".
AMEND - Golf Courses (Scotland); Added "Polmont (Ladies)" and "The Royal Deeside Golf Classic".
AMEND - Publish to BRS Online Tee Booking; The progress bar did not reach 100% when publishing data, although the data was successfully published.
FIX - (Ref. 84115) - Amend Away Score CSS; Changes to the Standard Scratch Score were not being saved.
FIX - (Ref. 84116) - Player Entry; In a rare situation Player Entry would not respond when a competition was selected from a list of competitions.
FIX - (Ref. 84117) - Player Entry; When Players identify themselves by “Entering a Club membership Number”, it was possible that past members were listed.
FIX - (Ref. 84118) - Unexpected error 5 ("Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection.") may have occurred under rare circumstances when running the 'Competition Scoring Analysis' report.
FIX - (Ref. 84119) - Start Sheets; Unexpected error 5 ("InvalidArgument=Value of '7' is not valid for 'index'") occurred when importing bookings to a start sheet or reordering players on a start sheet and the format of the competition was either a 3 or 4 player team competition with a selection of scores to count each hole.
FIX - (Ref. 84120) - Editing a past member; Unexpected error 91 ("Object reference not set to an instance of an object.") may have occurred under rare circumstances when the past member was an away member, they did not have a handicap and had a home club of 'default'.

HandicapMaster 8.4.26 (Update Package 776) (30 September 2014)

AMEND - Enter Scores; Improved screen message wording when handicap cannot be located for a player for the date of the competition (or 'First Round Handicaps' date).
AMEND - Golf Courses (England); Added "Bashley Park" and "Henstridge". Changed "Irby (Wirral)" to "Irby", "St Pierre Park Par Three" to "St Pierre Park (Guernsey)" and "Weald Park" to "Brentwood".
AMEND - Golf Courses (Scotland); Deleted "Blairbeth" and "North Gailes".
AMEND - Record Away Scores; When entering the score for a player, the OK button is now the default button (allowing ENTER key to be pressed to record the score).
FIX - (Ref. 84112) - Player Entry; Error 5 "Login Timeout Expired" could repeatedly be displayed when database unavailable (Network edition only).
FIX - (Ref. 84113) - Export; In some circumstances, the output file could be corrupted by data added to the 'Notes' field through Edit Member.
FIX - (Ref. 84114) - Player Entry; 'Last date for match results' for Knock-out competitions was not being correctly processed after 12:00 noon on the end date (Premier edition only).

HandicapMaster 8.4.25 (Update Package 775) (21 August 2014)

AMEND - Golf Courses (England); Added "Balfour & Holdsworth", "JB Amateur Tour" and "Northumberland Juniors".
AMEND - Golf Courses (Scotland); Added "Ayr Seafield Ladies" and changed "South (Area Authority)" to "South of Scotland Golfers (Assn)".
AMEND - Publish membership data to BRS; Following a change to the BRS service, records with a non-numeric "Club Member Number" field in HandicapMaster will no longer be published to BRS. In the event that all records in HandicapMaster are non-numeric, then PIN numbers will be published as BRS Userids instead.
FIX - (Ref. 84103) - When selecting items from a list, previous selections were not always remembered.
FIX - (Ref. 84104) - Publish to UK CDH; Unexpected error 6 ("Arithmetic operation resulted in an overflow") could occur when receiving corrupted data from the CDH (CONGU editions; England, Scotland and Wales only).
FIX - (Ref. 84105) - Apply Scores; In a very rare situation (single report), the Apply Scores Wizard failed to complete and the competition data being applied was lost from the system. ("Hosted" Network edition only).
FIX - (Ref. 84106) - Player Handicap Record (Master Scoreboard); Nine-hole away scores of 34 points were incorrectly colour-coded as being in the Buffer Zone even though a Handicap Adjustment was (correctly) shown. (CONGU Editions only).
FIX - (Ref. 84107) - Distribution Lists; Where a distribution list was initially set up with a single gender, if you subsequently edited the distribution list definition both genders were selected in error.
FIX - (Ref. 84108) - Player Entry; In some circumstances players entering a number to identify themselves at the computer were required to enter their number twice when a leader board had been displayed.
FIX - (Ref. 84109) - Unexpected error 13 ("Conversion from string "True" to type 'Short' is not valid.") occurred when trying to e-mail handicap graphs.
FIX - (Ref. 84110) - Unexpected error -2147221501 ("Either BOF or EOF is True, or the current record has been deleted. Requested operation requires a current record") may have occurred under rare circumstances when entering or editing a scorecard and the HandicapMaster database is shared over a network.
FIX - (Ref. 84111) - Apply Scores; Unexpected Error 13 ("Conversion from string "x" to type 'Integer' is not valid") occurred if you double clicked on the "X <No Disqualified Players>" entry in the "Disqualifications list".

HandicapMaster 8.4.24 (Update Package 774) (22 July 2014)

NEW - MyTeeTime booking service; You may now publish member details to the MyTeeTime booking service (Premier and Network editions).
AMEND - Golf Courses (England); Renamed "Bunsay Downs" as "Bunsay" and "Hampshire Junior Development" as "Hampshire Junior Golf Tour".
AMEND - Golf Courses (Ireland); Deleted "Clongowes", "Gormanston College", "Ringdufferin" and "Rockwell".
AMEND - Improved handing of unexpected error (-2) ("Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding”) An automatic retry facility is added to enable HandicapMaster to attempt recovery from these errors in some situations. ("Hosted" Network edition only). Note: The underlying cause is believed to be a disruption to the connection from the computer to the Hosted database e.g. ADSL retraining. Recovery may not always be possible depending on the nature of the communication disruption.
AMEND - Multiple-round singles competitions; Aggregated results now split out players with Lapsed handicaps (EGA handicapping), Non-competition handicaps (Scotland), and Non-competition handicaps when allowed to enter but not win prizes (England and Wales) into a separate section of report (i.e. now similar to single round reports).
AMEND - Publish to Internet; When publishing to CDH and Master Scoreboard, the NEXT button now remains as the default button (CONGU editions only).
FIX - (Ref. 84101) - Multiple-round Competitions; Additional (wrong) players could be marked as disqualified on the results report (aggregated results) when one or more players DQ'ed in the competition.
FIX - (Ref. 84102) - Order of Merit; Where you have multiple OOM competitions which are presenting results by divisions and each OOM has different division ranges, then when updating one OOM you may have found incorrect divisions were set for players in other OOM's.

HandicapMaster 8.4.23 (Update Package 773) (26 June 2014)

FIX - (Ref. 84100) - Apply Scores; If a competition was aggregated as an Alternative Day competition whilst running Apply Scores (i.e. not previously selected to be aggregated) then HandicapMaster could incorrectly report as "Scores for players have been found for more than one day of the Alternative Day competition", preventing the competition from being closed.

HandicapMaster 8.4.22 (Update Package 772) (24 June 2014)

NEW - Player Entry; New command line option /F6 - On first time start-up of the leader board display full width without the buttons alongside the leader board as if F6 has been pressed.
AMEND - Golf Courses (England); Added "Isle of Wight Ladies (Assn)". Renamed ""English Golf Captains" as "England Golf Captains".
AMEND - Golf Courses (Scotland); Renamed "Strathlene" as "Strathlene Buckie". Deleted "Dalmunzie Rangers Amateurs", "Gardenhall" and "Royal British Legion".
AMEND - Publish to CDH; No longer display error if CDH reports 'Unknown ID' when sent update to say a member has resigned (CONGU editions, England, Scotland and Wales only).
AMEND - Reports Layout and Options; When adding a picture to reports, a limit to the maximum picture size permitted has been added to prevent accidentally adding very large image files (which may cause a noticeable delay when displaying reports).
FIX - (Ref. 84092) - Find a Player on CDH; In some situations, this facility would not necessarily display the correct handicap status for players with a home club in different country (CONGU editions, England, Scotland and Wales only).
FIX - (Ref. 84093) - Publish to Master Scoreboard; When displaying scorecards for mixed team competitions on the website, the correct Par values for holes are now displayed.
FIX - (Ref. 84094) - Apply Scores; In a very rare situation, if the Apply Scores window failed, the competition data being applied would be lost from the system.
FIX - (Ref. 84095) - Apply Scores; When aggregating an alternative day competition with two or more other rounds, duplicate scores for the same player may not have been recognised in some situations, causing HandicapMaster to repeatedly and indefinitely ask to split a tie between the same players' scores.
FIX - (Ref. 84096) - Publish to CDH; When updating away member's handicaps if the away member had not been allocated a handicap in HandicapMaster and they had a playing handicap of zero on the CDH their handicap was not updated in HandicapMaster. (CONGU editions, England, Scotland and Wales only).
FIX - (Ref. 84097) - Amend Away Score C.S.S.; Unexpected Error 13 ("Conversion from string "" to type 'Short' is not valid. Inner: Input string was not in a correct format") occurred when editing an existing Away Score, the CSS value was deleted and the Qualifier Status was changed to Non-Qualifier.
FIX - (Ref. 84098) - Visitors; Data entered into the User-defined fields was lost if the visitor record was re-selected and the tab with user-defined data not selected before the OK button was clicked.
FIX - (Ref. 84099) - Edit Member; it was not possible to set a joining date prior to 1st January 2008.

HandicapMaster 8.4.21 (Update Package 771) (28 May 2014)

AMEND – Bookings; When online bookings are not enabled and the bookings are configured for two tees when adding players to the bookings sheet the next line in the sheet now remains visible.
AMEND - Find a player on CDH; When using the 'Find by name' option, a warning is displayed on screen if the search is restricted to one gender of players only (CONGU Editions, England, Scotland and Wales only).
AMEND - Golf Courses (England); Added 'Minchinhampton - Old Course'. Renamed 'Sedgley' as 'Mark Butler Golf Academy', 'Oaks' as 'The Oaks (Yorkshire)' and 'Oaks, Mollington' as 'The Oaks (Cheshire)'.
AMEND - Golf Courses (Scotland); Change CDH number for "Inchmarlo". Delete "Fyvie", "Lothianburn", "Pines", "Torphin Hill" and "Wallace".
AMEND - Handicap Status review (Scotland); Exclude Junior players with 'Club' Handicaps from future "Competition/Non-Competition" handicap status reviews (CONGU Editions, Scotland only).
AMEND - 'No Score Recorded' Scores report; The format and nature of the competitions played are added to this report.
AMEND - Player Entry; Number of scores entered and players signed in shown in the bottom left corner of the Player Entry screen is amended to exclude counts from competitions that are not currently active (that are outside of their chosen restricted times to display on Player Entry, when set). Premier and Network editions only.
FIX - (Ref. 84087) - Starting HandicapMaster; Unexpected Error 5 ("Input string was not in a correct format") occurred after installing update 8.4.20 when there was corrupted data records relating to Bookings.
FIX - (Ref. 84088) - Eclectics; When running Eclectic competitions with handicap allowance to 1 decimal place, the allowance for players with an NR eclectic score were shown as whole numbers in the results, in error.
FIX - (Ref. 84089) - Competition Results Report; For multiple-round competitions played over different courses but on the same day, one venue could be omitted from the headings in the aggregated results report, in error.
FIX - (Ref. 84090) – Competition Scoring Analysis Report; Unexpected error 91 (“Object reference not set to an instance of an object”) could occur under rare circumstances.
FIX - (Ref. 84091) - In rare circumstances registration code may not have been recognised when certain regional settings are set in Windows. (Reported by one customer).

HandicapMaster 8.4.20 (Update Package 770) (30 April 2014)

NEW - 'No Score Recorded' Scores report; New competition report listing players who have competition scores where no scorecard was entered into the system is added.
AMEND - Edit Member and Visitor; Wording for player's CDH ID number on screen is changed to reflect that the English, Scottish and Welsh CDH systems are now linked (CONGU Editions, England, Scotland and Wales only).
AMEND - Edit Member, Edit Visitor and Player Import; As a result of the introduction of cross border CDH (Central Database of Handicaps) data transfer and player look-up Edit Member and Player Import are amended to ensure that the national ID number is valid in the country of the player’s home club. Each country has a unique number range. (CONGU editions, Scotland England and Wales only).
AMEND - Edit Member; Changing a HOME member to an AWAY member. Due to differences between the CONGU regions a new record will be started where the AWAY member's new HOME club is in a DIFFERENT CONGU region. Additionally if a player has a national ID this will be cleared out. A new national ID will need to be allocated by the new home club in the other CONGU region. Members moving to a home club within the same CONGU region will NOT be affected and their National ID will remain unchanged. (CONGU Editions only.)
AMEND - Edit Member; when awarding a new handicap a "c" for competition handicap status is now displayed (CONGU editions, England and Wales only).
AMEND - Golf Courses (England); Added "Ivyleaf" and "St Dunstans Artisans". Renamed "Lafarge" as "Hope Works".
AMEND - Golf Courses (Wales); Renamed "RAF St Athan" as "St Athan".
AMEND - Juniors with Club handicaps and members with Disability handicaps; Add J or D prefix to "Current handicap" on handicap Record Report (CONGU editions only).
AMEND - Juniors with Club handicaps and members with Disability handicaps; Do not include "c" for competition status handicap on handicap records and handicap list (CONGU editions, Scotland England and Wales only).
AMEND - Master Scoreboard; Improve presentation in team competitions of teams' nett scores.
AMEND - Master Scoreboard; Include details of Players' Home Clubs when publishing to Master Scoreboard.
AMEND - Reports; When printing reports it is possible that the printer paper size may not match the report paper size which may result in some report data not being fitting onto the paper. In this situation HandicapMaster will now advise that the printer paper size does not match the paper size of the report.
AMEND - Welcome screen; Welcome to HandicapMaster 2014 changes screen is now removed.
AMEND - When an away member moves home club to one in a different country a new player record will be created to prevent issues with the CDH or GOLFnet systems. (CONGU editions).
FIX - (Ref. 84080) - Competitions; Unexpected error 5 ("Incorrect syntax near ','") could occur processing competitions after deleting Membership Categories, in some situations.
FIX - (Ref. 84081) - Unexpected error 5 ("Specified argument was out of the range of valid values") occurred after updating Visitors from CDH or importing Away Scores and the PRINT or PRINT REPORT button was clicked.
FIX - (Ref. 84082) - In one rare situation, it was possible to enter a duplicate scorecard for a team in a team competition through "Enter Scores" option.
FIX - (Ref. 84083) - Save Report to File; When saving a report containing currency fields to OpenDocument Spreadsheet file, fields with currency values were exported as 0 in error.
FIX - (Ref. 84084) - Subscriptions option; When a member was changed from Away to Home and was in a subscription pool, the away member record (which was moved to past members) was not removed from the subscription pool.
FIX - (Ref. 84085) - Supplementary Scores; It was possible to record a supplementary Score for a player with a 'non-competition' handicap in error (CONGU Editions, Scotland only).
FIX - (Ref. 84086) - Supplementary Scores; Check for limit of number of Supplementary Scores a Category 1 player may return was using the same review period as other handicap category players, in error (not handicap status review period, as required) (CONGU Editions, England, Scotland and Wales only).

HandicapMaster 8.4.19 (Update Package 769) (9 April 2014) - Interim Build

NEW - Competition Fees; New callback "3" added for Competition Fee processing to external Till system.
AMEND - Add Competition Scratch Score (CONGU Editions) and Computed Buffer Adjustment (EGA Editions) annotation to aggregated results report for multiple-round competitions.

HandicapMaster 8.4.18 (Update Package 768) (25 March 2014)

NEW - Central Database of Handicaps (CDH); The England, Scotland and Wales Golf Unions have now linked their CDH services together. You may now enter Scottish/Welsh CDH ID's in the England edition of HandicapMaster and English CDH ID's in Scottish and Welsh editions of HandicapMaster. Away scores for players from any of the three countries will be returned to their home clubs. You may now also use the "Find a Player on CDH" option to look up player’s handicaps from any of the three countries. CONGU Editions only.
NEW - Player Entry; When using a secondary monitor with Player Entry, you may now choose to pre-set which monitor is to be used through a new command line parameter to the Player Entry program (Premier and Network editions only).
AMEND - E-mail; The time taken to display the list of recipients when the 'To' or 'CC' buttons are clicked is reduced.

FIX - (Ref. 84067) - Subscriptions Option; Address Labels may not have been correctly formatted for players where the length of the name exceeded the width of the label.
FIX - (Ref. 84068) - Reports; Unexpected error 5 ("'}' expected, found '\cell'") would occur if text in the report for any paragraph or table cell started with either Slash, Backslash, Left Square Bracket, Right Square Bracket, Left Curly Brace or Right Curly Brace character.
FIX - (Ref. 84069) - Reports; Unexpected error 5 ("Error while parsing an OpenType font. Inner: Font has no usable platform or encoding ID") occurred rendering reports when a font had been selected that was installed from a True Type Collection font file.
FIX - (Ref. 84070) - Reports; Unexpected error 5 ("Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: startIndex") may have occurred when viewing the 'Publish to Internet' report.
FIX - (Ref. 84071) - Undo Handicap; When undoing a "Handicap Brought Forward" entry from a player's handicap record, any previous handicap status override applied was not reset along with the handicap.
FIX - (Ref. 84072) - Start Sheet Report; A playing group is no longer split over a page boundary.
FIX - (Ref. 84073) - My Golf Ranking; The button used to publish competition scores to 'My Golf Ranking' service only worked once, until HandicapMaster was restarted.
FIX - (Ref. 84074) - Unexpected error 13 ("Conversion from string "" to type 'Integer' is not valid. Inner: Input string was not in a correct format") occurred under rare circumstances when managing aggregate competitions, specifically when there were no competitions of the same type to aggregate with.
FIX - (Ref. 84075) – Start Sheet Report; Unexpected error 5 (“Value cannot be null”) occurred if no notes were specified for the end of the report.
FIX - (Ref. 84076) - Player Entry Leader board; Unexpected error 91 ("91: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.") in Leaderboard_Get_Next_Division or imgDivision_Paint may have occurred under rare circumstances when a competition on the leader board had just been closed or cancelled.
FIX - (Ref. 84077) - Small Handicap Certificate Report; In very rare cases the name of the club displayed next to the signatory was partially obscured.
FIX - (Ref. 84078) - Start Sheet Labels Report; When selecting Avery 3475 labels, labels on page three may have been split over a page boundary.

HandicapMaster 8.4.17 (Update Package 767) (6 March 2014) - Interim Build

AMEND - Competition format details are now displayed on the Best Of Series, Eclectics and Order of Merit lists.
AMEND - Issue Handicap; When issuing a handicap for a player that is a continuation of a previous handicap, such as when a player transfers home club, HandicapMaster will now request how many qualifying scores have been entered since 1st March, to better help with future Handicap Status reassessments (CONGU editions, Scotland only).
FIX - (Ref. 84060) - Subscriptions Option; In some cases when raising Subscriptions for multiple Membership Categories or Member Subscription Pools the wrong description was assigned to subscriptions, this fix prevents this for future subscriptions and applies a data correction to correct the description for subscriptions raised from 1st Jan 2014. (Subscriptions Option only)
FIX - (Ref. 84064) - Undo; In rare circumstances, Unexpected Error -2147221501 ("Either BOF or EOF is True, or the current record has been deleted") could occur when undoing an handicapping event from the system.
FIX - (Ref. 84065) – Distribution Lists; Address Labels were not correctly formatted for players where the length of the name exceeds the width of the label.
FIX - (Ref. 84066) - Unexpected Error 91 ("System.Windows.Forms, Object reference not set to an instance of an object") occurred in rare circumstances running reports.

HandicapMaster 8.4.16 (Update Package 766) (28 February 2014) - Interim Build

FIX - (Ref. 84060) - Subscriptions Option; In some cases when raising Subscriptions for multiple Membership Categories or Member Subscription Pools the wrong description was assigned to subscriptions.
FIX - (Ref. 84061) - Subscriptions Option; Where the same payment item was included twice within a subscription template, only one entry was subsequently added to any subscription raised using this template (Network edition only).
FIX - (Ref. 84062) - Edit Member; Unexpected error 102 ("Unclosed quotation mark after the character string") or Unexpected error -524553244 ("Syntax error (missing operator) in query expression") occurred when updating a member record containing an apostrophe in the 'Middle Initials' field.
FIX - (Ref. 84063) - Import bookings from BRS; When importing bookings received through the BRS system into HandicapMaster, message "No bookings found for this competition" would be displayed and no bookings loaded.

HandicapMaster 8.4.15 (Update Package 765) (25 February 2014)

AMEND - Edit Member; If a member's e-mail address is deleted but the member is set to receive Invoices, Subscriptions and receipts by e-mail, inform user and 'guide' them though setting correct values. (Only when Subscription Option installed).
AMEND - E-mail; When adding an 'Other Recipient' the list of recipients now scrolls to display the newly added 'Other Recipient'.
AMEND - GetHandicapCertificate_2 stored procedure now returns 'c' for 'Competition' handicap status for clubs in England. (Network Editions only).
AMEND - Golf Courses (Scotland); Renamed "Ballingry" as "Lochore Meadows".
AMEND - Subscriptions Option; When e-mailing subscriptions a window showing the progress of the e-mailing is now displayed.
FIX - (Ref. 84040) - Unexpected error 5 ("Value of '-2' is not valid for 'SmallChange'. 'SmallChange' must be greater than or equal to 0.") may have occurred when sending e-mails of reports or letters from HandicapMaster, and the main HandicapMaster window was minimized.
FIX - (Ref. 84041) - Letter Writer; Unexpected Error 91 ("Object reference not set to an instance of an object") occurred when adding fields to letters if the 'close window' cross at the top right of the "Insert Field" window was clicked.
FIX - (Ref. 84042) - Membership Categories; Unexpected error 13 ("Conversion from string '' to type 'Integer' is not valid") could occur when deleting a Membership Category, in rare circumstances.
FIX - (Ref. 84043) - Integration with external membership system; When using LoadCSV integration, Membership categories would be duplicated when containing character 'Quote' in the text.
FIX - (Ref. 84044) - Letters; multiple space characters were being ignored when letters were run.
FIX - (Ref. 84045) - Subscriptions Option; When e-mailing subscriptions to members, the first e-mail was successfully sent, all further e-mail's failed to be sent.
FIX - (Ref. 84046) - Subscriptions Option; The Reprint Subscriptions facility failed to list any subscriptions for re-printing.
FIX - (Ref. 84047) - Subscriptions Option; The format of the member name, invoice number and invoice date at the top of the Invoice or Subscription was badly formatted in some cases. Specifically when a member with a long name was selected.
FIX - (Ref. 84048) - Subscriptions Option; At the end of e-mailing a subscription run, if the option to print subscriptions for those members who do not receive subscriptions by e-mail was selected the format of the subscriptions sent to the printer was not correct.
FIX - (Ref. 84049) - Distribution Lists; The display of members within a distribution list on screen was showing duplicated members' telephone numbers in error.
FIX - (Ref. 84050) - E-mail; It was possible to add an 'Other Recipient' with an empty e-mail address.
FIX - (Ref. 84051) - Scorecard Issue Number; In some circumstances, an automatically allocated Scorecard Issue Number (allocated at sign-in when printing scorecards or labels) would be deleted when a player cancelled entering a scorecard, in error.
