Update 11.0.30 - 28 December 2022 - Update Package 1330

  • AMEND - Prepare HandicapMaster for future introduction of version 12.
  • FIX - Manage Competition Fees; In the new fee reconciliation report when using an external system for competition fees management, section 'The following additional player(s) also paid a fee (but are no longer listed in the competition)' could list the wrong players.
  • FIX - Membership Summary report was reporting an incorrect number of members with 'plus handicap'.
  • FIX - Player Entry; Sign in. It was possible for a player to be signed in at two Player Entry terminals at almost the exact same instant causing fees to be deducted twice. This was very rare timing scenario which bypassed existing checks for possible duplicates (a single customer report).
  • FIX - Publish to WHS Platform; When requesting a National ID for a new member, the WHS Platform can supply an invalid National ID of 'null'. HandicapMaster now reports this correctly, and does not trying to update the player record In HandicapMaster when this occurs (WHS Editions, England only).

Update 11.0.29 - 9 November 2022 - Update Package 1329

  • NEW - End User Agreement; Added a 'Save to File' button to allow the EUA to be saved to a file for future viewing (WHS Editions, England, Wales, Ireland, Scotland).
  • AMEND - Cancel score from Handicap Record; Added information message when it has not been possible to request a handicap score is cancelled from a player's Handicap record due to the score not originating from that user's HandicapMaster system (WHS Editions only).
  • AMEND - Manage Competition Fees; Fee totals paid are added to the new fee reconciliation report when using an external system for competition fees management.
  • AMEND - Manage Competition Fees; When returning to this facility, the user's last selection is now remembered and preselected ready for use.
  • AMEND - Undo Competitions; In the situation where a large number of past competitions are being undone, the time to undo each competition could have been unnecessarily slow (Local Handicapping editions only).
  • FIX - Apply Scores; Unexpected error 5 ('Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'NO_RETURN_GROSS') occurred in one case applying scores for a competition.
  • FIX - Competition Template wizard; The application of a Limit 'Before' or 'After' was incorrectly resetting to 'After' in some cases when a competition was re-configured.
  • FIX - Local Handicapping; When calculating the Adjusted Gross Score for a nine-hole scorecard, the wrong Strokes Received could have been applied for the nine-holes not played, causing the Adjusted Gross Score to be one stroke out, in some situations (Local Handicapping only).
  • FIX - Manage Competition Fees; Payment of additional competition fees could be recorded against the wrong additional fee for some players in team competitions, when collecting data for the new fee reconciliation report when using an external system for competition fees management.
  • FIX - Manage Competition Fees; Unexpected error 5 ('Column 'FEE_ITEM_PAID' does not belong to table MyDataset') could occur running the new fee reconciliation report when using an external system for competition fees management.
  • FIX - Publish to Master Scoreboard; When publishing a player's Handicap Record, 'pending' scores may have been included in error, resulting in potentially not all scores counting for a player's Handicap being published (LOCAL handicapping editions only).

Update 11.0.28 - 11 October 2022 - Interim Update Package 1328

  • NEW - Manage Competition Fees; Where you have an interface in Player Entry to an external system which is used to record competition fee payments, you may now run a reconciliation report showing the fees paid by each player through the interface in a selected competition. Note: Player Entry requires to be running 11.0.28 or later when the fees are paid for these fees to appear on the reconciliation report.
  • AMEND - Order of Merit; Time to display report on screen is reduced when Order of Merit is configured to use each player's 'best' scores only.
  • FIX - Analyse Scores Entered - Open Competitions; Where visitors selected optional fees when signing-in through Player Entry, these are now displayed in the analyse scores list.
  • FIX - Course Scorecards; The list of Course Scorecards could show the course Reference Score as '--', in error, when a reference score for the front and/or back nine holes was defined (LOCAL handicapping editions only).
  • FIX - Send scores to WHS Platform; In one reported case, two copies of Player Entry were started simultaneously on the same PC, and both managed to send the same scores through to the WHS Platform (WHS Editions).
  • FIX - Summary of scores report; Data in the report was displayed more than once when you ran the report multiple times (Local Handicapping editions only).
  • FIX - Unexpected error 13 ('Conversion from string '' to type 'Date' is not valid.') occurred when running the Handicap Records (Selected Range of handicaps) and when selecting the option 'Between chosen dates...' (WHS Editions). Other date selections were not affected.
  • FIX - Unexpected error 91 ('Object reference not set to an instance of an object') may have occurred when downloading the latest Handicap Index values from the WHS Platform. This happened where the player was reported as holding a current handicap index, but not having a home club (WHS Editions, Scotland only).

Update 11.0.27 - 15 September 2022 - Interim Update Package 1327

  • AMEND - Download Latest Member Handicaps; Players with National ID's from outside of the country are no longer included in the exceptions report displayed after running 'Download Latest Member Handicaps' facility (WHS Editions only).
  • FIX - Download Latest Member Handicaps; The home clubs of English, Welsh and Irish Players were not always being updated when checking their Handicap indexes (WHS Editions, Scotland only).
  • FIX - English, Welsh and Irish Players; Routine to convert English, Welsh and Irish Players from 'Out of Region' status was being run each time HandicapMaster was started, for some customers, in error. Not all English, Welsh and Irish Players records were being converted successfully (WHS Editions, Scotland only).
  • FIX - Publish to Scottish Golf CDH; Players with National ID's from outside of the country are no longer published to the Scottish Golf CDH, avoiding 'Member not found. (Field 'id')' error when publishing (WHS Editions, Scotland only).
  • FIX - Publish to WHS Platform; Players with National ID's from outside of the country are no longer published to the WHS Platform, avoiding 'WHS Server Error 400: No membership at this club could be found to update - it does not exist or has been deleted: create them as a new member at the club.' error when publishing (WHS Editions, England only).

Update 11.0.26 - 13 September 2022 - Update Package 1326

  • NEW - English, Welsh and Irish Players; Following development by the Golf Unions, it is now possible to send scores back to England, Wales and Ireland, to be added to these player's handicap records (WHS Editions, Scotland only).
  • NEW - Stripe Payment Payouts; When using the Stripe payment services, a new 'Payouts' list is added to the Bookings place that lists the Payouts from Stripe (date and amount). A report may be created that details the payments and refunds included in a selected Payout (Gold editions only).
  • AMEND - Adjust Handicap; When manually adjusting a player's Handicap under the 'average of best recent scores' handicapping configuration, any past handicap 'Freeze' records are now cleared from their past records, to enable the correct new handicap to be set (Local Handicapping editions only).
  • AMEND - 'Away' Members; A new option to list only the club's 'Away' members is added to the 'Players' place (WHS Editions).
  • AMEND - Find player on WHS Platform; When searching for players by name, results are being limited to a maximum of 50 names by the WHS handicap provider. A warning message is added when this limit is reached (WHS Editions, England, Wales and Ireland).
  • AMEND - General Play scores; When raising a 'Score Intent' through to the WHS handicapping service when a player signs in to return a General Play score, the player's choice of Tees they will play from will now also be reported to the WHS handicapping service too (WHS editions, England, Wales and Ireland only).
  • AMEND - Publish to Master Scoreboard; Reduce time to extract members handicap records when publishing to Master Scoreboard (Local Handicapping editions only).
  • FIX - Adjust Handicap; When manually adjusting a player's Handicap under the 'average of best recent scores' handicapping configuration, a player's resultant handicap may not have been the requested handicap value (Local Handicapping editions only).
  • FIX - Analyse Scores Entered; Payment of additional competition fees may not have been displayed in the Analyse Scores Entered list, where the HandicapMaster competition purse was in operation and there were additional competition fees but no entry fee for the competition.
  • FIX - Bookings; When viewing the settings for Bookings, some chosen items may have been displayed as unticked, when they had previously been selected and were active (Gold editions only).
  • FIX - 'Competition Results' Report; For some team competition formats, the countback column was not being populated on the competition results report.
  • FIX - Configure Competition; When reconfiguring an opened competition, the setting whether Visitors may enter the competition may have been incorrectly reported.
  • FIX - 'Countback Scores' Report; Countback Scores for some teams in alternative-day team competitions could be hidden from display on the report, in error.
  • FIX - 'Countback Scores' Report; For some team competition formats, the 'Last 18' score on the report was displaying the wrong values.
  • FIX - Handicap Changes report; When the option 'Between Chosen dates…' date range was selected the report did not include handicap changes recorded on the end date selected, but only included changes up to the end of the preceding day (LOCAL editions only).
  • FIX - Letter Writer; Unexpected error 5 (' Font 'XXXXXXXX' does not support style 'Regular'.) may have occurred in rare cases when opening an existing letter.
  • FIX - Local handicapping; For one reported case, it was not possible to adjust a player's handicap to a chosen value, as the handicap was always adjusted to a value 0.1 above or 0.1 below the required value (Local Handicapping editions only).
  • FIX - Player Entry; In very rare cases (a single customer report) a duplicate handicap entry could have been recorded by Player Entry when a network error occurred exactly at the instant when trying to save a score card to the database.
  • FIX - Sending scores to WHS; Scores could fail to have been sent to WHS handicapping services where the scores related to a competition that had been given a competition name with (1) spaces at the beginning of the name and (2) more than 60 characters in length (WHS Editions).

Update 11.0.25 - 24 August 2022 - Update Package 1325

  • AMEND - Competition Fee Purse; In Player Entry highlight at sign-in, low or overdrawn purse balance in red text.
  • AMEND - Handicap Record Graph; Improved scaling of Y axis is added, to better handle Score Differentials below 0 and above 60.
  • AMEND - Handicap Record Graph; Option to view a player's Handicap Record as a Graph is added to the handicap Record tasks, for easier access to the graphs (WHS Editions, England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland). Note: At the time of writing, player's Handicap Record data is not yet being provided by Scottish Golf.
  • AMEND - Player Entry; In some cases Player Entry would not restart to pick up recent configuration changes. This is now resolved.
  • AMEND - Prevent multiple users trying to re-configure the same competition at the same time.
  • AMEND - Send Scores to WHS; Frequency at which HandicapMaster will check to send scores to the WHS server is reduced when few scores (or no scores) were recently sent (WHS Editions only).
  • AMEND - Update Visitors from WHS Platform; This facility is extended to update player's National ID's when they are reported to have changed (WHS Editions, England, Wales and Ireland).
  • FIX - Closing Competition; In a rare situation, if an error occurred when amending an opened competition, when the competition was subsequently closed, the competition disappeared from view in HandicapMaster.
  • FIX - Club Wesbite; Error IC004 when starting Club Website software.
  • FIX - Download Latest Member Handicaps; In rare situations, the data received from the WHS platform identifies 'home club' members with an unexpected 'membership status' of 'Away'. This resulted in their Handicap Index not being updated in HandicapMaster (WHS Editions, Scotland only).
  • FIX - Handicap Record Graph; 'Best' recent scores from player's last 20 scores were being omitted from the Handicap Record graph (WHS Editions).
  • FIX - Publish to Master Scoreboard; Information regarding the Tees players have played from may not have been extracted successfully for aggregated team competitions, causing Par information to be omitted from scorecard details published on Master Scoreboard.
  • FIX - Reconfigure Competition; In some circumstances, for scorecards already entered into the competition, values calculated for players' handicaps were not being recalculated when a competition was reconfigured using a different set of course scorecard details.

Update 11.0.24 - 8 August 2022 - Interim Update Package 1324

  • FIX - General Bookings; When recording a booking through HandicapMaster (when booking a 9-hole course) a second tee time was booked, even when only recording a 9-hole booking.
  • FIX - Group Bookings; When a fee item was edited for an existing Group Booking, the details were not saved unless other edits were made to the booking at the same time.
  • FIX - Score card list view; the count of score cards above the list was incorrect in some cases.

Update 11.0.23 - 5 August 2022 - Interim Update Package 1323

  • FIX - Latest Handicap Indexes Download; Unexpected Error 5 ('The changes you requested to the table were not successful because they would create duplicate values in the index, primary key, or relationship.') could occur downloading latest player Handicap Indexes (WHS Editions, Scotland only).

Update 11.0.22 - 4 August 2022 - Interim Update Package 1322

  • FIX - Unexpected error 13 In rare cases ('Conversion from string XXXXX to type 'Boolean' is not valid. Inner: Input string was not in a correct format.') may have occurred when printing a list view in HandicapMaster.

  • FIX - Program Start-up; In some cases, Unexpected Error 5 ('Cannot insert duplicate key row in object 'dbo.MEMBER' with unique index 'I MEMBER NAME'' or 'The changes you requested to the table were not successful because they would create duplicate values in the index, primary key, or relationship.') could occur on start-up, after applying a software update (WHS Editions only).

Update 11.0.19 - 2 August 2022 - Update Package 1319

  • NEW - All Members list; The Home club for each player is now added as an additional column in the 'All Members' list (WHS Editions). Additional processing is added to tease out the latest Home Club for members where the WHS Handicap service does not make this information readily available (WHS Editions, England, Wales and Ireland).
  • NEW - General bookings; When viewing a booking on the General bookings schedule a 'Send Email' button has been added where the booking details contain the e-mail of the person who booked. Allowing for an e-mail to be sent to them.
  • AMEND - Send Scores to WHS; When exiting the HandicapMaster app and there are one or more scores that have not been sent to the WHS handicapping service, the prompt 'Send Scores Now?' is no longer displayed when the 'Scores to be Submitted' list is already displayed on screen (WHS Editions).
  • FIX - Competition Fee Purse; The analyse scores screen for an opened or closed competition may not have displayed the correct fee values when a refund had been made for mandatory or optional fees in some cases.
  • FIX - Local Handicapping; After reconfiguring Handicapping Rules to turn off adjustments based upon where players finish in a competition, handicap adjustments of this type were not being cancelled for a competition when the competition was undone and re-closed (LOCAL editions only).
  • FIX - Local Handicapping; In some cases, handicap adjustments were displayed in the wrong columns in the Handicap Record display (LOCAL editions only).
  • FIX - Upgrade from Version 9; In some cases, after an upgrade to version 11, players were displayed without handicaps (LOCAL editions only).

Update 11.0.18 - 29 July 2022 - Interim Update Package 1318

  • NEW - General Bookings; Option to configure the approximate time between tee booking and the second tee time to be used by the system (when booking a 9-hole course) is added.
  • NEW - General Bookings; Option to reserve a second tee time when recording a booking through HandicapMaster (when booking a 9-hole course) is added.
  • AMEND - Download Latest Member Handicaps; When downloading Player Handicap Indexes, an additional check through to the WHS server is performed to look up the latest Home Club of 'Away' members (WHS Editions, England, Wales and Ireland only).
  • FIX - Download Latest Member Handicaps; After downloading Player Handicap Indexes, some members could be incorrectly flagged as 'away' in error (WHS Editions, Ireland only).
  • FIX - Player Entry; If a player cancelled entering their scorecard in a team competition where neither sign-in before play or Start Sheets were being used, the system would retain the partner(s) selected for that player, in error.
  • FIX - Upgrade from Version 9; Error message 'It has not been possible to prepare the database for the software update. Preparation may already be underway' would be displayed, preventing the upgrade to version 11.

Update 11.0.17 - 22 July 2022 - Interim Update Package 1317

  • FIX - Player Entry; When starting Player Entry from desktop icon, message 'HANDICAPMASTER MAINTENANCE REQUIRED' could be displayed, preventing Player Entry being started from the desktop icon ('Onsite SQL Server' licenced customers only).
  • FIX - Publish to Master Scoreboard; The latest entry in a player's Handicap Record could be excluded from being published to the 'My Handicap Scores' section of Master Scoreboard, in error, if the entry was for the current date (LOCAL handicapping editions only).

Update 11.0.16 - 20 July 2022 - Update Package 1316

  • NEW - General Bookings; You may now create a 'facility' of type 'Golf Tee Booking (9-Hole Course)'. When players book into a facility of this type, they will be asked whether they wish to book to play 9-holes or 18-holes. If they select 9-holes, they will be charged a discounted fee. If they select 18-holes, a second tee-time approximate 2 hours after their selected time will also be booked for them.
  • NEW - Playing Record; When you elect to view a player's playing record in report format, you may now choose to restrict the report to scores returned between two chosen dates.
  • NEW - Scottish Players; Following development by the Golf Unions, it is now possible to access the handicap index of players in Scotland, from England, Wales and Ireland. In addition, it is now possible to send scores back to Scotland, to be added to these player's handicap records (WHS Editions, England, Wales and Ireland only).
  • AMEND - A login user name that had previously had Custom access restrictions and was changed to Full access may have retained some of the customer access settings. This is no longer the case.
  • AMEND - Find a Player on Scottish Golf CDH; When a player's Handicap is reported as 'Suspended' by Scottish Golf WHS service, this status is now displayed against the player's Handicap Index in the results of a search. When using the Look Up Player Details button on the Visitor window, a message is displayed if the Handicap Index of the player is reported as Suspended (WHS editions, Scotland only).
  • AMEND - Find a Player on WHS Platform; You may now access this facility using the 'CONTROL' plus 'F' keys together (WHS Editions only).
  • AMEND - Player Entry; Where a competition has an entry fee, the entry fee is now displayed on the Player Entry sign in screen.
  • AMEND - Sign-in Labels; The option to include the home club of the member is enhanced from just visitors to also include the home club of away members.
  • FIX - Competition Fee Purse; Unexpected error -2147221503 'Invalid use of Null (Query -19030, Column 'NOTES')' occurred when refunding a competition fee that was deducted when signing in through online score entry.
  • FIX - Competition Fee Purse; When a member had paid a mandatory entry fee and an optional fee, and these were subsequently refunded, it was possible that the optional fee may have been displayed in the Analyse Scores list and report in some cases.
  • FIX - Downloading Course Scorecards; When downloading new or updated course scorecards from the WHS platform, some course scorecards could be missed where the club had more than one 'course' defined on the WHS Platform (WHS Editions, England, Wales and Ireland only).
  • FIX - In rare cases when communicating with the WHS platform, if there was a communication error during an access request, it was possible for subsequent requests to the WHS platform to be rejected for a period of time. (England, Wales and Ireland only).
  • FIX - Master Scoreboard; When publishing to Master Scoreboard it was possible for this to fail where a competition name contained a Linefeed character.
  • FIX - Player Entry Leader board; Scores were not being displayed for multiple-round competitions played in divisions, where the division boundaries were configured to be calculated based on the set of player Handicap Indexes as the competition was closed ('auto-divisions').
  • FIX - Player Entry; A player's score could have been removed from a competition in error if they logged into one Player Entry console, brought up their scorecard on screen, leaving this on screen, then went to a second Player Entry console and logged in and completed entering their score.
  • FIX - Player Entry; When configuring Player Entry, unexpected error 5 ('Incorrect syntax near ')'') occurred running the Settings Profile wizard and selecting to allow entry of General Play scores, when there were no courses set up for the system home club.

Update 11.0.15 - 15 June 2022 - Interim Update Package 1315

  • AMEND - Handicap Index lookup; An alternative interface to the External WHS service is utilised to improve success rate of obtaining player’s current Handicap Indexes (WHS Editions, Scotland only).
  • AMEND - HandicapMaster E-mail Service; For smaller organisations we have amended the e-mail quota system to offer an increased quota limit.
  • AMEND - HandicapMaster E-mail Service; Where a user first enables the HandicapMaster e-mail service the number of e-mails sent within the quota may include e-mails sent previously using another e-mail service resulting in an incorrect count of quota used in the first 30 days.
  • AMEND - Overdue Subscriptions Wizard; Add a vertical scroll bar to the E-mail text box for ease of use.
  • FIX - Overdue Subscriptions report; When running the Overdue Subscriptions report from the Reports place, part of each member's address would be displayed missing, from the second page in the report onwards (Subscriptions option).
  • FIX - Publish to Master Scoreboard; Unexpected error 5 ('SqlDateTime overflow') occurred when publishing to Master Scoreboard with no competitions in the 'closed competitions' list.
  • FIX - Sign-in and Score Entry; In some circumstances, it was not possible to select partners into a team competition using the Player Entry system when the option to limit sign-in and score entry to players on a Start Sheet or Bookings Sheet was active, with message 'Player is not included on the Competition Booking Sheet' being displayed in error.

Update 11.0.14 - 10 June 2022 - Update Package 1314

  • FIX - Download Course Scorecards; After downloading the latest course scorecards from the WHS server, a Par and Stroke Index for the final hole could be missing (WHS editions only).
  • FIX - Course Scorecards; The facility to create a 9-Hole Course Scorecard from an 18-Hole Course Scorecard was not saving the 9-hole course scorecard with Stroke Indexes numbered 1 through 9 (WHS Editions, Scotland only).
  • FIX - Playing Record report; Where a competition name included a semi-colon, subsequent text in the competition name was not included in the Playing Record table of the report.

Update 11.0.13 - 10 June 2022 - Update Package 1313

  • FIX - Apply Scores; Unexpected error 91 ('Object Reference not set to an instance of an object') could occur closing a single-gender competition.

Update 11.0.12 - 10 June 2022 - Update Package 1312

  • AMEND - Competition Results; Reduce the time the system takes to record a change in competition notes on closed competition results reports, for some customers.
  • AMEND - Download Course Scorecards; Identify when downloading course data from the WHS Platform whether the data received is unchanged from the last download. If it is, no longer update the course scorecards information held in HandicapMaster, unnecessarily (WHS editions only).
  • AMEND - Player Entry; The initial Members/Visitors front screen now also recognises a magnetic card that is swiped through a reader, without the player having to select from the screen first, where the card holds the player's National ID number (provided the player's National ID is already known to the HandicapMaster system).
  • AMEND - Publish to Master Scoreboard; Changes to reduce the time taken to publish to Master Scoreboard (esp. on Cloud databases) are included.
  • FIX - Apply Scores; After undoing a competition, the Apply Scores wizard no longer retained any 'Disqualification' setting previously applied to a player, where that player's score was a 'No Return - No Score Recorded' score.
  • FIX - Competition Results reports; Notes detailing the adjustment to Playing Handicaps for players when play was from different sets of Tees were not always included on the results reports.
  • FIX - Download Course Scorecards; Unexpected error 9 ('Index was outside the bounds of the array') could occur when downloading course scorecard information from the WHS platform (WHS Editions, Scotland only).
  • FIX - Download Latest Member Handicaps; The reconciliation report produced at the end of running the Download Latest Member Handicaps option was including the players listed by the Golf Union as members of the club, but listed with a membership status of 'Resigned', in error (WHS editions, Scotland only).
  • FIX - Player Entry; After displaying an error message on screen, Player Entry system could run slow due to persistent logging of an error.
  • FIX - Player Entry; Unexpected error 5 ('The request limit for the database is 90 and has been reached') could occur running Player Entry after an extended network problem accessing the HandicapMaster database.
  • FIX - Player Entry; When signing in to a competition, when a player was advised that they were not eligible to enter the competition, in some circumstances they were subsequently offered the option to sign-in anyway, in error.

Update 11.0.11 - 24 May 2022 - Update Package 1311

  • NEW - Apply Scores; When closing a singles competition, if competition option 'Restrict score entry/sign-in to those players booked in (or on a Start Sheet if exists)' has been selected, and a booking sheet exists (and no Start Sheet), you may now choose to record a score of 'No Return - No Score Returned' for any chosen players listed on the Booking sheet who have not entered a score.
  • NEW - General Play Scores; As the club official, you may now record General Play scores for visitors through the main HandicapMaster software (WHS editions, excluding 'Tournament' editions).
  • NEW - Labels; Label type Apli 01271 is added. You may now select this label format when printing Start Sheet Labels or Address Labels.
  • NEW - Mixed Tee Team Competitions; You may offer players the option of choosing which tee to play from in Team Competitions, with the option to configure a selection of tees available for each gender now added.
  • AMEND - Download Latest Member Handicaps; Enable further attempts to download members' latest Handicap Indexes from WHS systems when first attempt of the day fails (WHS Editions).
  • AMEND - Improve the wording on the competition template and competition results summary screens when a range is applied to handicaps.
  • AMEND - Player Entry; The initial Members/Visitors front screen now recognises a magnetic card that is swiped through a reader, without the player having to select from the screen first.
  • AMEND - Undo Competitions; Warning message displayed when undoing a competition is simplified (WHS Editions only).
  • FIX - Book into a Competition; It was not possible to book partners into a future competition using the Player Entry system when the option to limit sign-in and score entry to players on a Start Sheet or Bookings Sheet was active, with message 'Player is not included on the Competition Booking Sheet' being displayed in error.
  • FIX - Database Backup; Unexpected error 5 ('Column ' TABLE_NAME' does not belong to table Tables'.) occurred when requested to send a backup to support.
  • FIX - Local Handicapping; The 'handicap played-to' value in a player's record could be slightly miscalculated due to an error with processing the Course Difficulty value when calculating this value (Local Handicapping editions only).
  • FIX - Player Entry; The Leader Board could appear whilst players were in the process of identifying themselves at the Player Entry screen.
  • FIX - Player Entry; When a player was being asked to make a selection for the tees they were to play from, and the screen was left unanswered for more than 30 seconds, the screen timed out and the player was signed-in without a tee selection. This prevented them from subsequently entering a score.
  • FIX - Player Entry; When signing in players for a team competition, and fewer players were selected for a team than the maximum allowed per team in the competition, the sign-in confirmation screens included the player 'Unknown', in error.
  • FIX - Record Initial Handicap Card; Unexpected error 5 ('Value of '…' is not valid for 'MaxDropDownItems'. 'MaxDropDownItems' should be between 1 and 100.') could occur when recording an initial handicap card.
  • FIX - Remote Request interface; Unexpected error 91 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object.' occurred when the surname of the member was blank.
  • FIX - Scorecards from a Competition report; Unexpected error 9 ('Index was outside the bounds of the array') occurred running the report when not all players in a team had their selected tee colour recorded successfully.

  • NEW - Initial Handicap Cards; Users of the 'Tournament' edition of HandicapMaster may now record player's scores as 'Initial Handicap Cards', where players who are in the process of returning scores to obtain a new WHS Handicap have played at the tournament venue on the day of the competition. These scores may now be submitted to the player's WHS Handicap record as 'Initial Handicap Cards' (WHS Tournament Edition, England, Wales and Ireland).
  • NEW - KO Match Results; You may now offer your members the option to report Match-play Knock-out match results through the Master Scoreboard website (GOLD edition users with 'Cloud' or 'Hosted' database configuration, only).

  • NEW - ClubWebsite; A new option 'Hide Notices section on website when there are no notices to display' is added to the 'List of Notices' page item.
  • NEW - ClubWebsite; You may now configure a link to a company Instagram page, to display alongside Facebook and Twitter links in the website page footer.
  • AMEND - General Bookings; Discount schemes may now be created for 3 and for 4 person bookings.
  • FIX - Analyse Scores Entered; When selecting Analyse Scores Entered for a team competition in the 'closed competitions' list, unexpected error 5 ('Invalid column name 'UNIQUE_ID'') occurred.
  • FIX - Course Scorecards; In one reported case, unexpected error 91 ('Object reference not set to an instance of an object') occurred when showing 'Not Handicap Counting' course scorecards where for one course scorecard the data was incomplete.
  • FIX - E-mail; Unexpected error 91 ' Object reference not set to an instance of an object.' In HM_Email_Get_MySubaccountID().
  • FIX - HandicapMaster Upgrade; Unexpected error -1 ('Unrecognised subroutine 'Database_to_10_0_4' requested') occurred when running version 11 against a database last used with HandicapMaster version 9.
  • FIX - Reports; Saving to CSV incorrectly formatted some data such as currency symbols.
  • FIX - Subscriptions option; Unexpected error 5 (' (Query 771) Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'WHERE'.') occurred when assigning subscription templates to members.
  • FIX - View Results; The short-cut accelerator key on the Edit Report button was not functioning when the View Results window was displayed. Accelerator keys for the other buttons on the toolbar are added (but will not be visible).

Update 11.0.3 - 8 December 2021 - Update Package 1303

  • AMEND - E-mail Rejection Log report; further improvement to display of additional rejection errors.
  • AMEND - Player Entry; The display of a scorecard on screen is drawn slightly taller for easier viewing on small screens.
  • AMEND - Player Entry; When running in 'Touchscreen' mode, a normal (full) keyboard may now also be used.
  • AMEND - Raise Invoices; You may now resize the Raise Invoices wizard window, to provide easier access to information displayed within the wizard (Subscriptions, Invoicing and Payments option).
  • AMEND - Subscriptions option; When selecting members for the raising of subscriptions or invoices, the list now contains additional columns of information to help with member selection.
  • FIX - Add Payment Item; Unexpected error 5 ('InvalidArgument=Value of '-1' is not valid for 'index'') occurred adding a Payment Item when no Payment Categories had been created (Subscriptions, Invoicing and Payments option).
  • FIX - Calendar Notes; After editing a Calendar Note, a 'pound' symbol was being translated to '#163;'.
  • FIX - Enter Golf Course Details; In some situations, unexpected error 91 ('Object reference not set to an instance of an object') occurred when the Cancel button was selected on the Course Scorecard selection window.
  • FIX - Integration with External Membership system; when viewing the configuration if the form was closed using the Windows red cross at the top right this turned integration off.
  • FIX - Player Entry; 'Administration' button was visible on screen in error when Leader Board was displayed, in some circumstances.
  • FIX - Player Entry; 'Away' members were being asked to confirm their Handicap Index, in error. Where an 'Away' member reported a different index to that read from a WHS service, unexpected error 9999 ('Function '...' not implemented) occurred (WHS Editions only).
  • FIX - Player Entry; Unexpected error DFBBF18B ('The field '...' cannot contain a Null value because the Required property for this field is set to True') occurred when a player entered a scorecard issue number.

Update 11.0.2 - 30 November 2021 - Update Package 1302

  • AMEND - Player Entry; When Player Entry is configured to use 'Touchscreen' option, and the equipment is wide-screen, buttons are now drawn wider, for easier operation (especially on small screen devices).
  • FIX - Add Golf Club/Organisation; It was not possible to add a new club or organisation to the system, as the new Club/Organisation was reported as 'already exists', in error.
  • FIX - Calendar; The 'Month' view was not being displayed on screen.
  • FIX - Number of Good Holes Scored report; Unexpected error 9 ('Index was outside the bounds of the array') occurred where a player record was converted to female gender, with a score already included in a men's-only competition.
  • FIX - Submission of scores to Handicapping; After editing a scorecard, or reconfiguring a competition, twice in quick succession, the player's scores could be submitted twice to their handicapping records (WHS Editions, HMLTD WHS Services only).

Update 11.0.1 - 25 November 2021 - Update Package 1301

  • NEW - Analyse Scores Entered; For singles competitions, the Analyse Scores Entered list now displays the number of holes scored as 'No Return' and the number of holes scored as 'Did Not Play' for each scorecard (helping competition officials to check where 'No Return' may have been recorded instead of 'Did Not Play' in error).
  • NEW - Local Handicapping; You may now elect to base handicap calculations on 'incremental adjustments' rather than averaging. When selected, Players scores (their 'handicap played-to' values) are compared with their handicap and a differential is calculated. Depending upon this differential, handicaps may increase or decrease, or remain unaltered (Local handicapping editions only).
  • NEW - Publish to Master Scoreboard; The fixture list data now includes details of the genders that competitions are open to, to allow for a suitable icon to be displayed on the Fixture list.
  • FIX - Competition Bookings; When selecting an Open competition to include booking through the clubhouse as well as online, the competition remained listed on the bookings window viewed by non-members on Master Scoreboard, in error.
  • FIX - Competition Results; Unexpected error 9 ('Value cannot be null') could occur viewing results reports after turning off position-based handicapping adjustments (LOCAL Handicapping editions only).
  • FIX - System Alerts; Unexpected error 5 ('InvalidArgument=Value of '1' is not valid for 'index'') could occur when a system alert bar was clicked.
  • FIX - WHS Handicapping; In some circumstances, edits to non-competition scorecards were not passed through to the WHS handicapping service (WHS Editions only).
