HandicapMaster 8.2.26 (Update Package 626) (18 December 2012)

AMEND - EGA Handicap Record Report; Text 'Annual Handicap Review' is added to AHR entries in handicap records in EGA handicapping editions when after annual review a Player’s handicap status becomes inactive. (And is included in publishing to Master Scoreboard web site).
AMEND - Golf Courses (England); Renamed "Roserrow" as "The Point at Polzeath".

FIX - (Ref. 82198) - 'Non-Competition handicaps (Possible Candidates)', or "Inactive handicaps (Possible Candidates)' reports (Wales and England respectively); Where a player had one qualifying score within the reporting period and it was also a Non-Return, the report incorrectly reported this as a 'Scores Returned value' of 2 rather than a value of 1.
FIX - (Ref. 82199) - The previous fix for defect '(Ref. 82195) - Competition Results reports and the overall position value' did not in all cases result in the correct overall position value being displayed on the results report. The value displayed was ignoring ties e.g. if there were two players tied in 5th place then the next overall position was displayed as 6 rather than as 7.
FIX - (Ref. 82200) - Competition Results Report; Annotation added to the report could be duplicated on the results report for day 1 of an Alternative Day or Multiple-round competition.
FIX - (Ref. 82201) - Unexpected error 13 ("Conversion from string "" to type 'Short' is not valid. Inner: Input string was not in a correct format.") occurred in some circumstances when you un-deleted multiple past members.
FIX - (Ref. 82202) - Online Bookings; When the computer where HandicapMaster is running was not in the same time zone as the MasterScoreboard.co.uk server, the start and end time for bookings did not take account of the time zone difference.
FIX - (Ref. 82203) - Subscriptions option; When raising invoices and the option to print was selected the following message will have appeared in error "Invoice with ID XXXX is no longer available and cannot be printed or e-mailed."
FIX - (Ref. 82204) - Edit Member; Unexpected error 13 ("Conversion from string "" to type 'Integer' is not valid") could occur when saving membership record if no player PIN number supplied.

HandicapMaster 8.2.25 (Update Package 625) (6 November 2012)

AMEND - Added KEY section to handicap List report (EGA editions only)
AMEND - Competition Results reports; When count back is turned off the front 9 and back 9 Holes results reports show ties in the overall position column. Manual splitting of ties is not offered for these results reports.

FIX - (Ref. 82193) - Unexpected error 5 ("System.Management Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))") occurred when trying to run HandicapMaster from the Windows 'Guest' account.
FIX - (Ref. 82194) - Unexpected error 9 ("Value cannot be null. Parameter name: Argument 'Array' is Nothing.") could occur when the player list for selection was empty and adding a new visitor was cancelled.
FIX - (Ref. 82195) - Competition Results reports; When count back was turned off and where there were ties split manually for overall positions and there were more than two players/teams tied then the value displayed in the Overall Position for Players/Teams was displayed as an incorrect value.
FIX - (Ref. 82196) - Start Sheets; After adding an extra row to the grid, highlighting of selected cells no longer operated correctly.
FIX - (Ref. 82197) - Scorecards from a Competition report; The wrong Pars and Stroke Indexes could be used for mixed team competitions in some circumstances.

HandicapMaster 8.2.24 (Update Package 624) (25 September 2012)

NEW - Start Sheets and Address Labels; Option to print to Avery Address Label types J8161 and L7161 is added.
AMEND - Call-back services 34 and 35; Option to specify Purse number used is added.

FIX - (Ref. 82186) - Letter Writer; When a new letter was created it was saved as a letter with a blank name.

FIX - (Ref. 82188) - Bookings report; Unexpected error 9 ("Index was outside the bounds of the array") could occur when running the Bookings report for a 3 & 4 player Texas Scramble competition and booking has been into blocks, with three players per tee time (Premier and Network editions only).
FIX - (Ref. 82189) - When editing a Past Visitor record the message "Visitor PIN must be in the range X to Y" was displayed when a visitor PIN range had been set.
FIX - (Ref. 82190) - Unexpected error 91 ("Object reference not set to an instance of an object") occurred sometimes when starting to use HandicapMaster and the Splash window had not closed.
FIX - (Ref. 82191) - The window displaying an "Exceptional Scoring Reduction" recommendation was being drawn incorrectly when Windows was configured for 'large text' (125% DPI setting) (CONGU Editions only).

AMEND - Recording Away Scores; When closing Away Score window through controlbox (red cross, top corner) after adding some away scores to the list, the user is now warned that the scores will be discarded if they continue.

FIX - (Ref. 82178) - Distribution Lists; when a member was changed to a visitor or vice versa they were not removed from member or visitor distribution lists as appropriate.
FIX - (Ref. 82179) - Import Away Scores; Unexpected error 13 ("Conversion from string "" to type 'Short' is not valid") occurred saving imported away scores when gross score was imported as "N/R" (or other unexpected text).
FIX - (Ref. 82180) - Computed Buffer Adjustment; Some text shown on printed reports and published on Master Scoreboard could be missing or truncated when CBA calculated as ‘Reductions only’ (EGA Editions only).
FIX - (Ref. 82181) - Open New Competition; Unexpected Error 5 ("Argument 'Length' must be greater or equal to zero") could occur if Alternate Day/Multi-round competition was selected without setting the round with which to aggregate scores.
FIX - (Ref. 82182) - Import Players; If a player's home club was not set in the import file and the player is an away member or visitor, then an incorrect home club may have been set.
FIX - (Ref. 82183) - Book into future competition; When booking into a Texas Scramble competition, the player could be asked for a fourth player for their team even when the booking sheet was limited to three players per team (Premier and Network editions only).
FIX - (Ref. 82184) – Start Sheets; When importing bookings for a 3 or 4 player team competition and the bookings had been received into blocks of times, players were not preserved within their teams (Premier and Network editions only).
FIX - (Ref. 82185) - Load membership Records; When loading membership records using 'LoadCSV' facility message "The Membership Load file does not contain records of any current Members" was incorrectly being displayed.

HandicapMaster 8.2.22 (Update Package 622) (1 August 2012)

AMEND - CONGU Exceptional Scoring Reductions; GUI and ILGU have mandated that ESR's must be applied to handicap records when identified by their member clubs. Option to choose to disregard the ESR recommendation is withdrawn (CONGU Editions, Ireland only).
AMEND - Golf Courses (England list); "Blackwell Ladies" added.
AMEND - Golf Courses (Scotland list); "C.R.O.S.S. FIX - (Ref. 82169) - Competition Results; In some circumstances players may have been placed out of order on the competition results report for a multiple-round result (by gross scores) where gross scoring was by Stableford points rather than strokes taken.
FIX - (Ref. 82170) - Apply Scores; HandicapMaster was failing to recognise and warn the user when two rounds with the same date and time were selected to be aggregated as part of a multiple-round competition in error.
FIX - (Ref. 82172) - Age Groups; The setting to automatically adjust players' age groups could be ignored or not actioned in some circumstances.
FIX - (Ref. 82173) - Unexpected error 57 ("The process cannot access the file 'XXXXXX' because it is being used by another process") may have occurred under rare circumstances when saving a report to a file.
FIX - (Ref. 82174) - Subscriptions option; Overdue Subscription Summary report, when a chosen date range is selected, the report did not start for the selected start date, but used the next day in error.
FIX - (Ref. 82175) - Unexpected error -2147221500 ("Either BOF or EOF is True, or the current record has been deleted. Requested operation requires a current record") that may have occurred under rare circumstances when undeleting a past member or visitor.

FIX - (Ref. 82161) - Player Entry; When selecting players by name using Touchscreen option, the list of players offered for selection could exclude some players if any player was included whose surname did not include any alphabetical characters, but did include an apostrophe (Premier and Network editions).
FIX - (Ref. 82162) - Opened Competitions; When reconfiguring opened competitions, message "Select another competition to aggregate this competition with" could unnecessarily be displayed on screen.

Requested operation requires a current record.") may have occurred when opening a competition and aggregating the new competition with a previous one and you edited the aggregate competition name.

FIX - (Ref. 82165) - Unexpected error 9 ("Value cannot be null") may have occurred under rare circumstances when amending an open competition online booking arrangements through the 'Configure Competition' facility and there was an internet connection failure at the time when the changes were being saved.
FIX - (Ref. 82166) - Load membership Records; Unexpected error 5 ("Access to the path 'XXXXXX' is denied.") when loading membership records using 'LoadCSV' facility, where there was no write access to the CSV file (Premier and Network editions only).

FIX - (Ref. 82145) - Enter Scores; Corrections to the Playing Handicaps of away members, entered as part of entering a competition score, would be entered out of sequence in the player's records when the competition was dated with a "PM" date (potentially resulting in the wrong handicap being used for that player in CSS calculations) (CONGU editions).
FIX - (Ref. 82146) - Apply Scores; The user would be asked to split ties between players with the same overall score when aggregating multiple-round competitions where players had not played in the final round, even for minor places, unnecessarily. HandicapMaster now splits ties automatically based on alphabetical order in this situation.
FIX - (Ref. 82147) - Apply Scores; When closing an 'Alternative Day' competition aggregated with another round still open, players may have been reported as entered into both rounds incorrectly, preventing the competition from being applied.
FIX - (Ref. 82148) - Record Away Scores; Computed Buffer Adjustment value was not being saved to the player's record, affecting handicap adjustments, when recording away scores (EGA Editions).
FIX - (Ref. 82149) - Publish to UK CDH; Unexpected error 91 ("Object reference not set to an instance of an object") could occur after converting a member to Visitor without changing their Home Club, when subsequently publishing to CDH (CONGU Editions, England, Scotland and Wales only).
FIX - (Ref. 82150) - Configure Competition; When re-configuring an opened competition, the AM/PM designator for the "First Round Handicaps" date was not being displayed or updated correctly in some circumstances.
FIX - (Ref. 82151) - Apply Scores; There was a very small chance for an opened competition to be deleted without successfully creating a closed competition through a small "window" in the Apply Scores processing, causing loss of competition scores (reported on one occasion).
FIX - (Ref. 82152) - Reports; Some printer property page settings values when changed from the printer default settings were not used when printing the report e.g. greyscale printing.

HandicapMaster 8.2.18 (Update Package 618) (22 May 2012)

FIX - (Ref. 82141) - Apply Scores; When applying scores for second round of an Alternative Day competition and the two rounds had not previously been linked together, HandicapMaster would incorrectly list players as having duplicate scores across the two rounds, preventing the competition being closed.
FIX - (Ref. 82142) - When exiting HandicapMaster, Unexpected error 5 ("You have an error in your SQL syntax") could occur (Hosted Network edition only).

HandicapMaster 8.2.17 (Update Package 617) (22 May 2012)

AMEND - CONGU Handicap Certificates; Amend heading text to better accommodate change in name of English Golf Union and English Womens Golf Association to England Golf (CONGU Editions).
AMEND - GOLFnet CDH Player Files; The option to use the GOLFnet Player files to identify visitors when they insert a GOLFnet card into a reader is extended to when using Player Entry option to identify players when "Entering a PIN number or inserting Ireland GOLFnet Card" (CONGU Editions, Ireland only).
AMEND - HandicapMaster will now ask to retry in some circumstances when an error 11 ("General Network Error") occurs reading the database (Network edition only).
AMEND - Integration with External Membership System; When using LoadCSV interface, a space is now added before "(2)" suffix for duplicate player names. Also, time taken to complete loading of membership records is reduced.
AMEND - Match-play KO Draw; Link is added to entrants window advising how to add players to the Draw.
AMEND - Network performance improvements when using http protocol. For example: when checking for program updates, to reduce time outs.
AMEND - Player Entry; PIN Entry screen position of "Select from list of names" adjusted to ensure wording fully visible.
AMEND - Publish to UK CDH services; If an amended away score is received for a second time and the only change is "R2", "R3" or "R4" appended to the competition name, the away score is now longer prompted to be applied to the player's handicap record (CONGU editions).

FIX - (Ref. 82131) - Find Player on CDH; Button to add a player to the database was not active when the player held a playing handicap of -1 (CONGU Editions, England, Scotland and Wales only).
FIX - (Ref. 82132) - When exiting HandicapMaster the prompt to publish to the CDH was appearing in error when there were only changes to visitor data which is not required to be published to the CDH. (CONGU editions only).
FIX - (Ref. 82133) - Apply Scores Wizard; Handicaps were reset to zero in error when a Standard Scratch Score value was not located in the database, when closing a competition (non EGA Editions).
FIX - (Ref. 82134) - Multiple-round competitions; Unexpected error -2147221503 (Invalid use of Null (Query -421, Column 'DIVISION_PLAYED_IN')) could occur viewing the overall competition results report, after aggregating a competition played in divisions with one played without divisions.
FIX - (Ref. 82135) - Importing Away Scores; When importing away scores, all entries in the import file after one has been reported as 'no home club' by the CDH were rejected in error (CONGU Editions, England, Scotland and Wales only).
FIX - (Ref. 82136) - Publish to CDH; When receiving away scores, unexpected error 13 ("Conversion from string '…' to type 'Date' is not valid") could occur in rare situations when a non-standard date format was configured in Windows (CONGU editions).
FIX - (Ref. 82137) - Unexpected error 5 ("Syntax error (missing operator) in query expression 'EVENT_ID IN ( ) AND SOC_HCP_POSITION_ADJUSTMENT <> 0'") could occur when undoing the last remaining round of a multi-round competition if position-based handicap adjustments were in use (Society Edition only).
FIX - (Ref. 82138) - Apply Scores; When aggregating an alternative day competition with two other rounds, duplicate scores for the same player may not have been recognised in some situations, causing HandicapMaster to repeatedly and indefinitely ask to split a tie between the same player’s scores.
FIX - (Ref. 82139) - Unexpected error -2147221503 ("Invalid use of Null (Query -419, Column 'POSN')") would occur viewing overall results from an alternative day competition where the first round had been applied with no aggregation of rounds at that time and the second round had not yet been applied after aggregating the two rounds together.
FIX - (Ref. 82140) - Publish to UK CDH; When publishing competition scores for a Visitor playing over their home club course, and a separate home and away Competition Scratch Score had been calculated, the "away" rather than "home" Competition Scratch Score was published to the CDH for this player in error (CONGU Editions).

HandicapMaster 8.2.16 (Update Package 616) (3 May 2012)

AMEND - Publish to England/Scotland/Wales CDH; The timeout waiting for a response from the CDH when uploading handicap records is increased to 90 seconds.
FIX - (Ref. 82123) - HandicapMaster becomes "stuck" displaying the progress bar window in "marquee" style when running HandicapMaster on computers with Windows XP operating system (only).

AMEND - CONGU Handicap Statuses (Scotland) – The lapsed ("Starred") handicap status for CONGU handicaps in Scotland was ceased at the end of 2011 in favour of "Competition" and "Non-Competition" handicap status. It was previously understood that these would be similar to "Competition" and "Non-Competition" handicap statuses being introduced in Wales (a relabeling of "Active" and "Inactive" handicaps). Following recent clarification from CONGU, the "Competition" and "Non-Competition" statuses in Scotland will not mirror the welsh equivalents, but instead be similar to previous "starred" and "non-starred" handicaps. Various changes are made to HandicapMaster to accommodate this. FIX - (Ref. 82027) - Unexpected error 13 ("Conversion from string '...' to type 'Date' is not valid") could occur upgrading to version 8.2 for the first time.
FIX - (Ref. 82028) - Unexpected error 5 ("Object must be a root directory ('C:\') or a drive letter ('C')") occurred when backing up the HandicapMaster Database to a UNC path.
FIX - (Ref. 82029) - Configure Player Entry; Screen colours representation in wizard was drawn out of shape when windows configured to use a high screen DPI setting.
FIX - (Ref. 82030) - Unexpected error 13 ("Conversion from string "...." to type 'Double' is not correct.") when checking for updates online within HandicapMaster, and the regional numeric decimal separator is not a decimal point.
FIX - (Ref. 82031) - Unexpected error 5 ("Row size too large") occurred starting Network edition for the first time after upgrade to 8.2 (Hosted Databases only).
FIX - (Ref. 82032) - Player Entry; The setting for a chosen USB Card Reader was not being retained when upgrading HandicapMaster to version 8.2 for the first time.
FIX - (Ref. 82033) - Integration; Unexpected error 5 ("Dynamic SQL generation for the UpdateCommand is not supported against a SelectCommand that does not return any key column information") occurred running option "Copy membership no's to account id's" on Integration LoadCSV options tab.
FIX - (Ref. 82034) - Player Entry; Wrong message was being displayed on screen when Handicap List option was selected and there were no players to list.
