Build 7.2.19 - Package 319 - (6 January 2009)

  • First Full Release of Version 7.2
  • AMEND - List of Golf Courses; Some amendments and deletions to list of English clubs.
  • AMEND - EGU CDH; Add option to chose the timeframe of records being uploaded to the CDH.
  • FIX - Four Ball Best Ball Competitions; Incorrect Nett Score and Stableford points were calculated for a hole where Player B held a plus Handicap and was due to concede a handicap stroke and Player A had not scored on that same hole.

Build 7.2.18 - Package 318 - (24 December 2008)

  • AMEND - EGU CDH; Add 'Handicap Brought Forward' record to each player's handicap records on CDH (for players who held a handicap at the start of the season), to ensure handicap values are recognised by CDH for all players.
  • FIX - EGU CDH; Error 35 ('Invalid or missing Handicap Record Adjusted Gross Score Value') was being returned from CDH due to some invalid handicap record entries being sent to the CDH.
  • FIX - EGU CDH; Unexpected error 13 ('Type Mismatch') occurred when performing a Visitor lookup if the Visitor did not have an active handicap on the CDH database.

Build 7.2.17 - Package 317 - (23 December 2008)

  • AMEND - E-mail Log Report; Layout of report amended for easier reading and now includes details of e-mails sent in last 6 months.
  • AMEND - Membership Option; Subscription Summary report; Added Gross totals for members. Also added the Projected total that will be invoiced.
  • AMEND - Membership Option; Membership Groups List; added Group Contact e-mail address information to list.
  • AMEND - Membership Option; Raise Subscriptions Wizard. It is now possible to raise subscriptions for those members who have not recently had subscriptions raised. This may be helpful if you have for example raised some subscriptions by membership group and then raise subscriptions by Subscription template where some of the membership group members are assigned the subscription template.
  • AMEND - Icons; Some Icons used in the program have been updated.
  • AMEND - EGU CDH; Updated to be ready for start of national trials of English Golf Union's Central Database of Handicaps.
  • FIX - New Installation; When installing HandicapMaster for the first time, Unexpected error 80040E14 ("Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'AND'.") occurred.

Build 7.2.16 - Package 316 - (17 December 2008)

  • NEW - Reports; A new selection criterion to limit the information displayed to Members in a Membership Category has been added to a number of reports including Membership reports and Accounting reports. Note Accounting reports are only available When Membership Option is installed.
  • AMEND - Report Away Scores to Home Clubs; When e-mailing the away scores to Home clubs, a copy of each e-mail is now sent to the originator.
  • AMEND - E-mail; Support for using an encrypted SSL connection for the outgoing SMTP mail server (as used by some Internet Service providers) is added.
  • AMEND - New Member/Edit Member; When Membership Subscriptions option is installed, access to the "Subscriptions" tab in the New Member and Edit Member windows is now defined by access rights of the user to the "accounting" custom field (Premier and Network editions only).
  • FIX - Handicap Record Report; Unexpected error 91 ("Object variable or With block variable not set") occurred when the Handicap Record report was run (Society edition only).
  • FIX - Membership Option; Subscription Wizard; Unexpected error 9 ("Subscript out of range") when editing/deleting a subscription template while displaying subscriptions from a previous run of the "Raise Subscription Wizard".
  • FIX - Handicap Record Graph; Unexpected error 1101 ("Bad function argument") occurs when viewing graphs if Microsoft Windows Security Update MS08-070 (released in Microsoft December 2008 Security updates) is installed.
  • FIX - History of Bookings Report; When taking bookings in conjunction with Master Scoreboard web site, the wrong names were displayed in the 'booked by' column.
  • FIX - Subscriptions wizard; Unexpected error 0 ("Subscript out of range") occurred if a membership selection containing no members was chosen in the subscriptions run (Membership Subscriptions option only).
  • FIX - E-mail; Password for Outgoing SMTP Mail server authentication was corrupted if E-mail settings window displayed and OK button clicked more than once.
  • FIX - Refunding Invoice; Unexpected error 80040E21 ("Multiple-step operation generated errors.") occurred refunding an Invoice (Network edition with Membership Subscriptions option only).
  • FIX - E-mailing and Printing Subscription Invoices; When generating Invoices by Membership Groups, not all remaining invoices would be printed after sending available invoices by e-mail (Membership Subscriptions option only).
  • FIX - E-mail Log Report; Records covering all dates were being included in the report, irrespective of whether only a selection of dates were chosen for the report.

Build 7.2.15 - Package 315 - (8 December 2008)

  • NEW - Letter Writer; A number of additional Subscription related fields have been added to provide more flexibility when creating subscription letters. (Only available When Membership Option installed)
  • NEW - Integration with External Membership Systems; It is now possible to import email addresses into HandicapMaster using 'Remote Request' integration (Premier and Network editions only).
  • NEW - Integration with External Membership Systems; New Stored Procedure 'GetNationalNumber_1' is added to read player's National Number from HandicapMaster (Network edition only).
  • AMEND - Society Handicapping; Requirement for players to score off full handicap in Stableford Qualifying Competitions (where the handicap allowance is less than full handicap) is removed (Society edition only).
  • AMEND - E-mail Handicap Certificates; The report toolbar e-mail button now operates as follows when e-mailing Handicap Certificates. The report is scanned and those members with an e-mail address will receive a copy of their own Handicap Certificate. The signature on the e-mailed Handicap Certificates is that defined in FILE -> OPTIONS Letters tab 'Signatory on Letters'. Printed Handicap Certificates still require a written signature.
  • AMEND - Subscription Summary report; The number of membership records for past members or visitors per subscription template is now reported in the second section, if the report is run for all members. (Only available When Membership Subscriptions Option installed).
  • AMEND - Raise Subscription Wizard; A new option to "Review Subscription Details" prior to raising subscriptions is now available. (Only available When Membership Subscriptions Option installed).
  • AMEND - Raise Subscription Wizard; Time taken to raise subscriptions has been reduced. (Only available When Membership Subscriptions Option installed).
  • AMEND - Raise Subscription Wizard; When the Subscriptions have been displayed and are e-mailed using the e-mail button on the Report Toolbar the option to print subscriptions for those members who have not selected to receive subscriptions by e-mail is now offered. (Only available When Membership Subscriptions Option installed).
  • AMEND - Overdue Subscription Wizard; When the Overdue Subscriptions have been displayed and are e-mailed using the e-mail button on the Report Toolbar the option to print the Overdue subscriptions for those members who have not selected to receive subscriptions by e-mail is now offered. (Only available When Membership Subscriptions Option installed).
  • AMEND - Letter Writer; When the Letters have been displayed and are e-mailed using the e-mail button on the Report Toolbar the option to print the Letters for those members who do not have an e-mail address is now offered.
  • AMEND - Installation of HandicapMaster; Selection of HandicapMaster edition to install is moved to First Run wizard in HandicapMaster from installer.
  • AMEND - Handicap Graphs; 'Handicap' line is now plotted using resultant Handicap after the competition, rather than handicap used in competition as previously (CONGU and Society editions only).
  • AMEND - Membership Option; Overdue Subscriptions Summary report. A new section at the foot of the report providing the total amount of the overdue subscriptions has been added.
  • AMEND - Handicap List Report; EGA Exact Handicap is now shown for 'Away' players. When two or three column layout is used, suffix "a" is added to denote 'Away' player (EGA Editions only).
  • FIX - Online Bookings; Using pound character in web site message caused booking configuration to fail to be loaded to Master Scoreboard.
  • FIX - E-mail; Unexpected error 80040E14 ('Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server ED: Incorrect syntax') occurred when selecting a recipient with an apostrophe in their name. (Network Edition only).
  • FIX - E-mail; Adding Other Recipients; Unexpected error 35602 ('Key is not unique in collection') occurred when adding an "other recipient" with the same name but a different e-mail address to one already added.
  • FIX - Handicap List Report; In some circumstances, overflow of some pages was causing near-empty pages in the listing. Also, 3 column report in EGA Editions was not formatted correctly.
  • FIX - Eclectics; "Last Published" date (as displayed on Master Scoreboard) was displayed the same for all Eclectic competitions, in error.
  • FIX - Undo First Award/Handicap Brought Forward; When changing the details of a "First Award" or "Handicap Brought Forward" entry in a player's handicap record, unexpected error 91 ('Object variable or With block variable not set') occurred.
  • FIX - Enter Scores; When an 'Away' Player's Handicap was changed as part of entering a competition scorecard, the updated handicap was not used to calculate the player's Playing Handicap (EGA Editions only).
  • FIX - EGA Handicapping; When changing a Home player to Away Player, the player's handicap was being rounded to a whole number, in error (EGA Editions only).
  • FIX - Handicap Graphs; Graphs were blank when running EGA Editions of HandicapMaster.
  • FIX - Competition Results; Correct formatting of Multiple-round competition results (3 rounds or more).

Build 7.2.14 - Package 314 - (27 November 2008)

  • NEW - Ladies Medals; With the forthcoming introduction of separate ladies medal competitions in each of the four home nations (from February 2009) to replace the LGU medals, four new reports for ladies medals are added. One of these will be available to run in HandicapMaster (as applicable) when running a CONGU edition of HandicapMaster, with the System Home Club set to England, Wales, Scotland or Ireland region.
  • NEW - Membership Subscriptions Option; A new "Payment Items" list has been added to the "Accounting Places". This allows viewing and easier editing of existing Payment Item details.
  • NEW - Open a New Competition; A warning message is now displayed if a competition is already open for the same date, venue and using the same template.
  • NEW - Bookings; Buttons to select all or un-select all tee times or blocks of times are added to the Bookings Wizard (Premier and Network editions only).
  • NEW - Housekeeping; Added a new option to allow "Voided" accounting records to be removed. (Only available When Membership Subscriptions Option installed).
  • AMEND - Membership Option; Adding new Payment Items; A "Save and More..." button has been added reducing the time taken to add a number of new Payment Items.
  • AMEND - Best-of Series Wizard; The list of competitions now shows which competitions were Men's and which were Ladies competitions.
  • AMEND - 'Subscription Details' report; When large number of members assigned to a subscription template the list of members is now spread over two columns to reduce the number of pages of the report (Only available When Membership Subscriptions Option installed).
  • AMEND - Eclectics; When adding competitions to an Eclectic, the list of competitions may now be re-sorted by clicking the column headings. The list of casual cards may also be re-sorted in the same way.
  • AMEND - Distribution Lists; when adding members to a distribution list the displayed list of members now has their membership category displayed to assist with identify members in the same membership category.
  • AMEND - Reports; Accounting Audit Log report; Improved the layout of this report when displaying large amounts. (Only available When Membership Subscriptions Option installed).
  • FIX - Bookings; Unexpected error 94 ("Invalid use of Null") could occur when cancelling or moving a player's competition booking (Premier and Network editions only).
  • FIX - Bookings; Unexpected error 80040E10 ("No value given for one or more required parameters") occurred when running the History of Bookings report (Premier and Network editions only).
  • FIX - Bookings; Bookings Wizard could fail to include the specified last tee time in some circumstances (Premier and Network editions only).
  • FIX - Bookings; Unexpected error 76 ('Path not Found') could occur viewing opened competitions list when bookings through Master Scoreboard was being used, in some circumstances (Premier and Network editions only).
  • FIX - Apply Scores; When applying scores for a singles competition played in divisions and a tie for a divisional placing occurred that could not be resolved by count-back scoring, an arbitrary winner was being chosen, in error (User was not being prompted to resolve the tie manually).

Build 7.2.13 - Package 313 - (20 November 2008)

  • NEW - New Report 'Subscription Summary'; Lists Members and the subscription template they have been assigned. Also lists the subscription templates and the members assigned to each template. (Only available When Membership Subscriptions Option installed).
  • NEW - New Report 'Subscription Details'; Lists the detailed payment information for subscription templates and the members assigned to each template. (Only available When Membership Subscriptions Option installed).
  • NEW - Age Groups; You may now set the age at which a Junior members becomes an Adult, the default is 18 years of age (See FILE menu, then OPTIONS, then MEMBERSHIP tab).
  • NEW - Membership option; Export of Accounting records. Added the Club Member Number to the export to assist with identifying members when there are members with similar names.
  • AMEND - Book into Future Competitions; It is now possible to choose only one player per tee time when running Bookings wizard for singles competitions.
  • AMEND - Closed Competitions report; Format of the report is now portrait for all pages of report.
  • AMEND - Locker Number report; A new section has been added to the end of the report listing in locker number order those members with a locker.
  • FIX - E-mail recipients; When adding multiple "Other Recipients" the previous recipient details are now cleared out when the recipient is added.
  • FIX - Book into Future Competitions; Amend internal processing when bookings being received on Master Scoreboard, to better cater for situation where a HandicapMaster database backup file is restored.
  • FIX - Import; If User-defined fields were not supplied as part of the import file, "~#UNKNOWN#~" could be imported in these fields in error.

Build 7.2.12 - Package 312 - (17 November 2008)

  • NEW - New Report 'Closed Competitions'; Provides a summary of closed competitions which may be printed.
  • NEW - Master Scoreboard; Report Gross Score results for single round competitions (not Four Ball Better Ball competitions) added.
  • NEW - New "E-mail" option added to the "File" menu. Allows an e-mail to be sent directly from HandicapMaster.
  • NEW - Book into Future Competitions; New option 'Allow Players without Handicaps' added to allow players without handicaps to book into a competition.
  • AMEND - Book into Future Competitions; Improved screen messages for when a problem occurs with using online bookings.
  • AMEND - Network Edition; Remove warning when running Network edition using Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Express edition.
  • AMEND - Opened Competitions list; Number of bookings received count is now updated from Master Scoreboard (when applicable) each time the list is refreshed.
  • AMEND - E-mail Settings; If outgoing e-mail server requires authentication the authentication password is stored as encrypted data to improve security.
  • FIX - Sending a single E-mail the status is now logged.
  • FIX - List of Visitors; Fix various errors with Visitors list, including Unexpected Error 380 when displaying Visitors list in EGA editions.
  • FIX - Score Entry; Unexpected Error 5 occurred when displaying the scorecard for score entry, when running on Windows 98 or ME.
  • FIX - Reports; Correct formatting of Order of Merit report, and tidy up some formatting in other reports.

Build 7.2.11 - Package 311 - (6 November 2008)

  • AMEND - Publish to Internet Wizard; Improved clarity of wording on screen. Added link to Master Scoreboard page to end of wizard.
  • AMEND - Player Entry; Reduce number of times "Successful connection to USB Card Reader" message is displayed when using Ireland GOLFnet cards with USB readers.
  • AMEND - E-mail Recipients form is sizable to allow for user of full screen when manu items listed. Some changes to the layout have been made to improve the ease of use.
  • AMEND - E-mail window displays if a report is attached.
  • AMEND - Player Entry Leader Board; Colours used for heading bar are now matched with chosen colour scheme.
  • FIX - Player Entry Leaderboard; Choosing setting 'Only show Leaderboard when one or more competitions are underway' stopped leaderboard showing whether or not there were competitions underway.
  • FIX - Membership Summary report; Headings now displayed when no records are found.
  • FIX - Competition Bookings Report; This report was not being generated when requested.
  • FIX - Booking into future Competitions; When changing date or name of opened competition, this was not reflected on MasterScorboard if competition opened for booking online.
  • FIX - Booking into future Competitions; When cancelling opened competition, the competition was not removed from MasterScorboard if competition opened for booking online.

Build 7.2.4 - Package 304 - (18 September 2008)

  • AMEND - all updates applied in builds 7.1.31 and 7.1.32 added.
  • FIX - Player Entry Leader board; Error 28 ("Out of Stack Space") could occur when using "Only show Leaderboard when one or more competitions are underway" configuration setting.

  • NEW - Publish to MasterScoreboard; Hole-by-hole scores for players in Singles competitions are now published to Master Scoreboard.
  • AMEND - Improve wording of Away Competition score e-mails when e-mailing the Handicap Exchange Sheet report.
  • AMEND - Publish to MasterScoreboard; Improved extract of players names to web site, excluding names of past members and visitors not otherwise referred to on the web site.
