Build 7.0.16 - Package 114 - (11 January 2007)

  • Amend: Software Trial Period is reset to 45 days following completion of beta development.
  • Amend: Change name of Welsh Golf Unions to 'Golf Union of Wales' following merger of Welsh Golfing Union with Ladies Welsh Golf Union.
  • Amend: Golf Courses; Change name of club to "Astbury".
  • Amend: Membership Option; Receipts have been changed to make use of Letter Writer configuration to allow positioning of address details. This is to allow use of windowed envelopes. In addition the layout of receipt has been made clearer.
  • Amend: General Options: On FILE -> OPTIONS -> MEMBERSHIP tab when the Age of Seniors is changed the user is prompted to confirm if an adjustment of Age Group of members is required.
  • Amend: Database Recovery: Do not display option to restore network database if the database has been updated using a newer version of HandicapMaster.
  • Fix (Ref. 70037): Competition Results; Unexpected error 80004005 ("Insufficient key column information for updating or refreshing") occurred when adding note to a competition results report.
  • Fix (Ref. 70038): Reports; Saving reports to RTF format, in some circumstances, caused reports to reset, showing no records.

Build 7.0.15 - Package 113 - (3 January 2007)

  • New: Age Groups; Two additional Age Groups ("Other (1)" and "Other (2)") added. These may be renamed using FILE -> OPTIONS -> MEMBERSHIP tab and provide additional options for filtering which players may play in any specific competition and which players to include in specific reports.
  • New: Knock-out Draws; Draws may now be published to the MasterScoreboard.co.uk web site.
  • Fix (Ref. 70034): Player Entry; Leader board could be displayed too soon when list of names was being used to select a Player.
  • Fix (Ref. 70035): Reports; Saving reports to RTF format caused reports to reset, showing no records.
  • Fix (Ref. 70036): Database Configuration; Unexpected error 70 ("Permission denied") occurred when removing a database to which you did not have access.

Build 7.0.14 - Package 112 - (21 December 2006)

  • New: Age Groups; Each Player may now be assigned to one of three Age Groups (“Junior”, “Adult” or “Senior”) through their Membership Record. Competitions may be limited to specific age groups and many reports may be filtered by Age Group.
  • New: Task "Create a Report of Bookings Received" is added to the list of Tasks displayed when showing Bookings for a competition.
  • Amend: Golf Courses; Add "St Pierre - Mathern" Golf Course.
  • Fix (Ref. 70031): Start Sheets; The option to allow Players without a current Handicap to be included on a Start Sheet was not being processed.
  • Fix (Ref. 70032): Bookings; Option 'Configure Bookings' available when right-clicking list of Bookings received for a competition was failing to display the Bookings Wizard.
  • Fix (Ref. 70033): Integration; It was possible to get an invalid value for Locker Number which resulted in Unexpected Error 13 (Type Mismatch) when viewing Locker Number in Edit Member.

Build 7.0.13 - Package 111 - (14 December 2006)

  • New: Handicap Reports; End of Season Low Handicap Record report added, to assist Secretaries with reporting Handicap Records to Area Authorities. A new option in Reports -> Layout and Options is added enabling this report to be limited to Handicaps of a specific value. Not Society Edition.
  • Amend: Player Entry; Cosmetic changes to Player Entry screens, including changes to location and descriptions for on-screen buttons.
  • Amend: Player Entry; When using a Keypad, key "0" (Zero) is now the designated key to move down list of names to next letter of Alphabet.
  • Amend: Handicap Reports Menu; When using the keyboard to access the menu the shortcut key for "Handicap Exchange Sheet" has been changed to accommodate the new 'End of Season Low Handicap Records' report.
  • Fix (Ref. 70010): Player Entry; Cancel button on list of names screen does not work through keyboard.
  • Fix (Ref. 70027): Locker Number Report; Unexpected error 94 ("Invalid use of Null") occurred with some combinations of test data, was not likely to happen with customer data.
  • Fix (Ref. 70028): Start Sheets; It was not possible to create a Start Sheet for a Texas Scramble competition using four players per team.
  • Fix (Ref. 70029): Groups and Members report; This report now runs as expected.
  • Fix (Ref. 70030): Gemself Terminal; Unexpected error 429 running Player Entry when configured to use Gemself Terminal.

Build 7.0.12 - Package 110 - (6 December 2006)

  • New: Score Entry; New option to restrict Score Entry or Sign-in to only those players listed in a Start Sheet is added (Premier and Network editions only). For team events, HandicapMaster will automatically use the team as set up in Start Sheets, when one of the players identifies himself at Score Entry time.
  • New: Reports; "Competition Bookings" report is added (Premier and Network editions only) to complement Bookings facility.
  • New: Configure Player Entry: New option "Allow Players to Cancel their Bookings in Future Competitions" is added (Premier and Network editions only), allowing Player Entry to be configured to allow or disallow players cancelling their previous Competition Bookings. The default is now that Players are NOT allowed to cancel their previous Bookings through Player Entry.
  • Amend: Player Entry; Names of Players are no longer displayed in the list when they have already entered a Score Card for the competition.
  • Amend: Player Entry; When competitors are signing-in before play, Away Player's Handicaps are now only checked at Sign In and not checked a second time when entering Score cards (Premier and Network editions only).
  • Amend: Start Sheets; "GAP" button is replaced with "Unavailable" button and can now be used to identify slots or Games that are not to be included on a Start Sheet report.
  • Amend: Start Sheets; "AutoFill" option now checks that players are eligible for the competition when importing players from past Competition or Start Sheet.
  • Amend: Bookings; Wizard now issues a warning if the "Number of Players Per Tee Time" is unexpected for the format of Competition (such as 3 Players per tee time for a Pair competition). (Premier and Network editions only).
  • Amend: Competition Results; Venue is now included in headings for aggregated competitions.
  • Fix (Ref. 70017): Membership Option; Payment Category was incorrectly highlighted in Edit Payment Record Item window.
  • Fix (Ref. 70018): Membership Option; Multiple payment transactions. When an overdue payment is paid the status of the remaining payments were not changed from overdue to outstanding (if appropriate).
  • Fix (Ref. 70019): Player Entry; Unexpected error 3265 ('Item cannot be found in the collection corresponding to the requested name or ordinal') would occur when entering scores for players into a Mixed Competition and handicaps were being adjusted to cater for differences between the Men's and Ladies' Golf Course details.
  • Fix (Ref. 70020): Bookings; When importing Bookings received into a Start Sheet, where Booking is by Blocks, computed Tee Times did not take account of Blocks marked as unavailable.
  • Fix (Ref. 70021): Bookings; Re-Selecting times or blocks when re-configuring a Competition Booking set-up failed to make the times or block available for booking.
  • Fix (Ref. 70022): Competition Results; Team Competition Result reports could include Home Club column in error when saving report to disk file.
  • Fix (Ref. 70023): Best Scores Analysis Report; Unexpected error 80004005 ('Key column information is insufficient or incorrect') would occur when running this report for a Team Competition.
  • Fix (Ref. 70024): Letters; Unexpected error 80040E07 ('Data type mismatch in criteria expression') could occur when writing a new letter.
  • Fix (Ref. 70025): Start Sheets; Wizard failed to remember Tees used for Shotgun Competition when run a second or subsequent time for a saved Start Sheet.
  • Fix (Ref. 70026): Player Entry; Unexpected Error 9 ("Subscript out of range") occurred when more than 5 competitions were available for Score Entry at the same time.

Build 7.0.11 - Package 109 - (23 November 2006)

  • New: Option added to Membership Subscription and Invoice Templates to allow "10 Monthly" payments. Supported payment schedules are Annual (1 Payment), Monthly (12 payments) and 10 Monthly payments.
  • New: Bookings; Bookings received may be imported onto a Start Sheet.
  • Amend: Golf Courses; Add 28 additional Scottish Courses and Clubs.
  • Amend: Housekeeping Wizard; Further improvements to the Housekeeping Wizard.
  • Amend: Start Sheets; Cosmetic changes to entering names onto the grid are made, along with repairs for defects when searching for players in list of names.
  • Fix (Ref. 70012): Archive Accounting data; Unexpected Error 3167 ("Record is deleted.") could occur when archiving ad hoc payments with multiple payment items.
  • Fix (Ref. 70013): Bookings; Dates Bookings may be accepted were displayed incorrectly and could be corrupted in Bookings Wizard.
  • Fix (Ref. 70014): Subscriptions Wizard; Unexpected error 3265 ("Item cannot be found in the collection corresponding to the requested name or ordinal.") when subscription letter contained Locker Number.
  • Fix (Ref. 70015): Restore Database; In some circumstances, a blank (empty) message could be displayed after restoring a database backup.
  • Fix (Ref. 70016): Membership Option; Subscription expiry date for Monthly payment schedule was not set correctly.

Build 7.0.10 - Package 108 - (17 November 2006)

  • Fix (Ref. 70008): Society Handicapping; Unexpected error 80004005 ("Insufficient key column information") could occur recalculating Handicap Records.
  • Fix (Ref. 70009): Society Edition; Restoring version 6 Database into Version 7 Preview would reset version 7 trial start date in error, preventing running version 7 as a trial.
  • Fix (Ref. 70011): Bookings; When rerunning Bookings Wizard and using existing time slots, previously de-selected times were not remembered.

Build 7.0.9 - Package 107 - (16 November 2006)

  • New: Texas Scrambles; A second choice of handicapping allowance for Texas Scrambles is added. This allowance is based on a varying proportion of Handicaps for the players in the team. Specifically, 4 Player Teams is (1/6 of Lowest Handicap + 1/8 of 2nd Handicap + 1/12 of 3rd Handicap + 1/25 of Highest Handicap) and 3 Player Teams is (3/10 of Low Handicap + 2/10 of 2nd Handicap + 1/10 of High Handicap).
  • Amend: Opened Competitions list; The "Future Opened Competitions" list has been removed and all competitions are now listed in the "Opened Competitions" list (as in previous versions of HandicapMaster).
  • Amend: Players not played near Handicap report; Heading for all dates changed from "01 January 1990" to "All records listed."
  • Amend: List of Golf Courses; Change existing club 'Notleys' in Club List to 'Lord' and 'Humberston' to 'Esporta Humberston'.
  • Amend: Bookings; It is now possible to set up Bookings to allow bookings to be entered on the day of the competition.
  • Amend: Bookings; When booking using Player Entry to book into specified Tee Times, Players may now type an hour (5 to 19) and jump to the nearest Tee Time to that hour.
  • Amend: Texas Scrambles; Handicap Allowance for three-man teams amended to 1/6th combined handicap.
  • Fix (Ref. 70000): Unexpected Error 80040E07 ("Data type mismatch in criteria expression") when adding new Officer Title.
  • Fix (Ref. 70001): Missing index in All Members Handicap report.
  • Fix (Ref. 70002): Bookings; Wrong time slot recorded (through Player Entry screens) when booking by tee times and some times de-selected from tee sheet.
  • Fix (Ref. 70003): Player Entry; Screens could freeze until card was removed when using Ireland GOLFnet cards with USB Card Readers.
  • Fix (Ref. 70004): Unexpected Error 80040E14 ('Invalid Column Name FALSE') occurred when cancelling out of amending Competition Template through CONFIG button (Network edition only).
  • Fix (Ref. 70005): Age of Members report; Incorrect age if birthday between current date and end of the year.
  • Fix (Ref. 70006): Bookings; Various fixes to Bookings Wizard, including retaining names already booked into Competition when re-configuring bookings.
  • Fix (Ref. 70007): Bookings; Various errors in Player Entry when displaying Bookings window for competition being booked in slots and one or more slots configured for a single tee time.

Build 7.0.8 - Package 106 - (10 November 2006)

  • New: Player Entry; Option to restrict players to only using their Magnetic Swipe Cards to identify themselves at Score Entry or Booking time is added (Premier and Network editions only).
  • Amend: CONGU Handicapping; Set up handicapping (and program end date) for 2007 regulations.
  • Amend: General Play Changes Report; Previous Handicap included as part of "change" of handicap details.
  • Fix: Unexpected Error 3705 ("Operation is not allowed when the object is open") when trying to Set up an invoice template.

Build 7.0.7 - Package 105 - (3 November 2006)

  • New: Data Archive; The "Archive" option is renamed "Housekeeping..." and a new Housekeeping Wizard introduced. A new option to Housekeep the database using recommended settings is added.
  • New: Start Sheets; A new option to allow Players without a current Handicap to be included on a Start Sheet is added.
  • Amend: Product name for Server Edition now called 'Network Edition'.
  • Amend: Ireland GOLFnet; The "GOLFnet Update" option is renamed "Publish to GOLFnet (Ireland)...". The GOLFnet update windows are now presented in a Wizard format.
  • Amend: Open a New Competition; Wizard no longer displays second round of a competition page if the competition is a team competition.
  • Amend: Export; Column 'Junior' is moved next to 'Gender' column in export file.
  • Amend: Competition Winners report; Competitions are now listed in reverse chronological order.
  • Amend: Publish to MasterScoreboard; Improvements are made to the Publish Wizard.
  • Amend: Backup Database; HandicapMaster now remembers a separate backup location for each database instance.
  • Amend: Network Edition; If connection details for SQL server are incorrect user is now prompted to edit them.
  • Amend: Network Edition; Changes to Restore Database option, which may now only be run on the same computer as the SQL Server 2005 installation.
  • Amend: Network Edition; Last Update time removed from 'About HandicapMaster' window.
  • Amend: Network Edition; Automatic backups are no longer performed each time a user exits HandicapMaster, now no more frequently than once every 3 days.

  • Amend: Player Entry; Improve message reported when using Smart Card Reader and Smart Card Resource Manager Service is not running on PC.

  • Fix: Player Entry; Now supports 3 or 4 man Texas Scramble Teams. Cosmetic fixes when displaying team names on scorecard and leaderboard windows.
  • Fix: Best-Of Series results; Ordering of players with tied scores could be inconsistent between HandicapMaster report and MasterScoreboard publication.
  • Fix: Away Scores; Correct sequencing error introduced with change in 7.0.3 when entering SSS, CSS and Par values.
  • Fix: Unexpected Error 80004005 ("Key column information is insufficient or incorrect. Too many rows were affected by update") when housekeeping database.
  • Fix: Unexpected Error 3704 when a failure to log on to SQL server database.
  • Fix: Unexpected Error 424 ("Object Required") sorting players on Start Sheet into High-Low Handicap order.
  • Fix: Unexpected Error 80040E14 ("Cannot specify a column width on data type text") sorting players on Start Sheet into Handicap order (Network edition only).

Build 7.0.6 - Package 104 - (12 October 2006)

  • New: Option to re-configure an opened competition is added to right-click menu and Tasks box when displaying Future Opened Competitions list.
  • New: Option is added to 'Reports Layout and Options' for Competition Reports for Multiple Round Results to display Total Score in first column.
  • New: Option to set an overall name for Multi-round or Alternative Day competition is added.
  • New: Option to publish members' names and membership Numbers/GOLFnet numbers to BRS Online Tee Booking service is added.

  • New: Whether Player Entry screens show Score Entry and/or Forward Booking is now selectable through the Configure Player Entry wizard.

  • New: Add option to show names of players who have already booked into a Competition when booking a future Competition.

  • New: Add 2/3 Handicap allowance option for Singles competitions.
  • Amend: Warning displayed when saving a membership record with a GOLFnet or Membership Card number if number already used in another Membership Record.
  • Amend: Cosmetic changes made to Edit Member window.
