HM7PlayerEntry.DLL 2.1.33 (Not on general release)

  • Amend: Player Entry Callback; Amend Callback 1 to avoid running if no competition entry fee set.

HandicapMaster 7.0.32 (Update Package 128) (5 September 2007)

  • New: Remote Request Integration Facility; Added new tags to Message format: 'DBDatabaseName' and 'DBServer' to remove possible confusion with old tags 'Catalog' and 'DataSource'. The old tags are deprecated.
  • New: Database Recovery; Add option to force HandicapMaster into Database Recovery screen on start-up (Society, Club and Premier editions).
  • Amend: Player Entry; Add 30 second timeout to Competition selection and Player Selection/PIN Number screens when ADMINISTRATION button visible, allowing future competitions becoming available for selection to be recognised.
  • Amend: Golf Courses; Correct spelling of "Dinas Powys".

HM7PlayerEntry.DLL 2.1.31 (Not on general release)

  • Fix (Ref. 70130) Score Entry; "Oops; An error has occurred" message displayed in error if GOLFnet card number was typed into PIN entry screen and number was not known to the system.
  • Fix (Ref. 70131) Score Entry; Error screen could not be cleared when Gemself GCR700 Terminal in use, without reverting to normal keyboard.
  • Fix (Ref. 70132) Undo event; When undoing a General Play adjustment the date displayed in the confirmation message was incorrect.

  • Fix (Ref. 70116) Order of Merit; Unexpected error 80040E14 ("The objects "OOM_POINTS_AWARDED" and "OOM_POINTS_AWARDED" in the FROM clause have the same exposed names.") occurred when running an Order of Merit report configured to split players into divisions and with one or more overall winners (Network edition only).
  • Fix (Ref. 70117) Publish to GOLFnet (Ireland); "Internal Error; 'ROUND_NUMBER' not initialised in Class Module clsHM_AwayScore" could occur processing incoming Away Scores.
  • Fix (Ref. 70118) Publish to GOLFnet (Ireland); Unexpected Error 94 ("Invalid use of Null.") could occur when uploading Handicap Records.
  • Fix (Ref. 70119) Membership Option; Unexpected error 383 ("'Text' property is read-only") occurred when viewing a payment when the Method of Payment had been deleted.
  • Fix (Ref. 70120) Eclectics; Correct ordering of players with overall "No Return" score in report (Network Edition only).

HandicapMaster 7.0.27 (Update Package 125) (5 June 2007)

  • Fix (Ref. 70101) Player Entry; Competition names containing an ampersand were not correctly displayed on some screens.
  • Fix (Ref. 70102) Player Entry; When Player Entry is started ahead of a competition the 'choice screen' was displayed even after the competition is open for score entry. (Only applies when there is a single competition).
  • Fix (Ref. 70110) Score Entry; Visitors were not visible in the List of Players available for score entry when the list is restricted to Players Listed on a Start Sheet. (Premier and Network Editions only).
  • Fix (Ref. 70111) Handicap List; When a HandicapMaster user has access restricted to a single gender the handicap list now correctly displays details for appropriate gender. (Premier and Network Editions only).
  • Fix (Ref. 70112) Unexpected error 3021 ("Either BOF or EOF is True...") could occur under some unspecified circumstances.

HandicapMaster 7.0.26 (Not on general release) (29 May 2007)

  • Amend: Remote Request Integration Facility; Frequency at which requests are processing increased to 5 every 30 seconds.

  • Fix (Ref. 70103) Eclectics; Unexpected error 80040E14 ("Invalid column name 'True'.") occurred when adding individual players in a competition to an Eclectic report (Network edition only).
  • Fix (Ref. 70104) Reports; Unexpected Error 6 ("Overflow") could occur in module "modHM_Reports/RescaleFont" when viewing a report.
  • Fix (Ref. 70105) CSV Membership load Integration facility; Unexpected error 3021 ("Either BOF or EOF is True...") would occur if empty CSV file passed to HandicapMaster to be loaded.
  • Fix (Ref. 70106) Start Sheets; An extra game was added to a Start Sheet each time a saved sheet was re-opened.
  • Fix (Ref. 70107) Remote Request Integration Facility; Unexpected error 13 ("Type Mismatch") occurred if Date Of Birth data was received which was not in a recognisable date format.
  • Fix (Ref. 70108) Remote Request Integration Facility; Requests to INSERT Membership data for existing membership records, but which resulted in no changes in data, were not processed.
  • Fix (Ref. 70109) Membership Option; The list of Invoices or Subscriptions in Current year was displayed incorrectly as the list was using the date the invoice or subscription was raised. Now uses the date of the first payment.

HandicapMaster 7.0.25 (Update Package 124) (10 May 2007)

  • Fix (Ref. 70100) Competition Scores; Entering Scores for a competition using a version of HandicapMaster prior to 7.0.23 and applying scores using HandicapMaster 7.0.23 or 7.0.24 could result in corrupt results (esp. Stableford Competitions).

HandicapMaster 7.0.22 (Update Package 121) (18 April 2007)

  • Amend: Backup Database; Backup Database option on File menu now restricted to only available when running HandicapMaster on computer hosting SQL Database (Network Edition only).
  • Amend: Player Entry; Yes/No and Select by Number screens will now time out (cancel themselves) after about 30 seconds of inactivity and the Admin button Password screen after about 15 seconds of inactivity.
  • Amend: Player Entry; Player's names are now removed from the list when a "Card Not Returned" No-return is entered.

  • Fix (Ref. 70085) Apply Scores; Unexpected error 80040E14 ("Incorrect syntax near 'INDEX'....") occurred when aggregating competitions as Alternative Day competitions (Network Edition only).
  • Fix (Ref. 70086) Order of Merit; Unexpected error 80040E14 ("Incorrect syntax near ....") could occur when running an Order of Merit report (Network Edition only).
  • Fix (Ref. 70087) Automatic updates; Unexpected error 6 ("Overflow") occurred when Automatic updates on start-up are turned on. This would only occur on PC's with Windows installed with non-English Regional Settings (such as "Turkish regional settings").
  • Fix (Ref. 70088) Competition results; Some Twos were not reported.
  • Fix (Ref. 70089) Score Entry; Error message SC004 occurred when entering a score higher than 9 on a Par 5 hole and the player received 3 handicap strokes (I.e. Junior Club Handicap).

HandicapMaster 7.0.20 (Update Package 119) (21 March 2007)

  • New: Integration with external Membership systems; Added set-up tool to copy Membership Numbers to Account ID field (Premier and Network editions only).
  • Amend: Start Sheets; Space between lines in grid has been increased, to cater for different screen fonts in use. Titling in window improved to avoid overwritten text.
  • Amend: Bookings; Booking screen will now time out (cancel itself) after about 30 seconds of inactivity. Competition Name now included in heading on competition tee booking screen (selecting specific Tee Time) and time of booking included in "Cancel this Booking?" screen.
  • Amend: Bookings; Wizard will now ensure that at least one tee time is selected.
  • Amend: Membership Option; When assigning a Subscription template to members in one or more Membership Categories the wording displayed has been improved.
  • Amend: Membership option; For Valid and Overdue Subscription Summary reports the member names are now listed surname first, in the same manner at the All Member List
  • Amend: Membership Option; When a payment is recorded the method of payment is remembered so that the next payment that is recorded defaults to the previous method of payment.

  • Fix (Ref. 70067) Start Sheets; Sometimes names of players continued to display in the pop-up list once they had been added to the Start Sheet.
  • Fix (Ref. 70068) Configure Opened Competition; Venue of opened competition always showed as System Home Club in error when running Configure Competition option.
  • Fix (Ref. 70069) Bookings; Date and time of booking availability window was misinterpreted when competition opened as "PM" (afternoon) competition.
  • Fix (Ref. 70070) Subscription Wizard; Unexpected Error 3211 ("The database engine could not lock table 'TEMP_SUB_RUN' because it is already in use by another person or process"). Sometimes happened if the Finish button in the Subscription Wizard was clicked multiple times.
  • Fix (Ref. 70071) Network Edition (only); If unable to connect to the database the user is presented with database connection details. When there are multiple databases and the details are edited the change made was not correctly saved.
  • Fix (Ref. 70072) Bookings; Unexpected Error 9 ("Subscript out of range") when the First Tee Time was later than the Last Tee Time in the Bookings Wizard.
  • Fix (Ref. 70073) Subscription Wizard; Unexpected Error 13 ("Type Mismatch"). Happened when completing wizard to raise subscriptions by Membership Group and there are no Membership Groups defined.
  • Fix (Ref. 70074) Subscription Wizard; Unexpected Error 80040E37 ("'TEMP_SUB_RUN' does not exist.") Sometimes happened if the Finish button in the Subscription Wizard was clicked multiple times.
  • Fix (Ref. 70075) MatchPlay KO Draws; Headings for each round of draw were a mixture of Title Case and all Uppercase lettering.
  • Fix (Ref. 70076) Player Entry; With a single opened competition, the Administration button was not displayed when there are no players available. (Affected all editions but only Premier and Network if forward booking was not enabled)
  • Fix (Ref. 70077) Unexpected Error 80040E14 ("Syntax Error in Update Statement") could occur when running HandicapMaster on PC's with Windows installed with non-English Regional Settings (such as "Turkish regional settings").
  • Fix (Ref. 70078) Bookings; Unexpected Error 380 ("Invalid property value") occurred when updating bookings for a competition where the date of the competition had been changed. (Premier and Network Editions only).
  • Fix (Ref. 70079) Start Sheets; Unexpected Error 9 ("Subscript out of Range") occurred when importing bookings onto a Start Sheet and the bookings where configured in Blocks with the last Block marked as unavailable to book (Premier and Network Editions only).

HandicapMaster 7.0.19 (Update Package 118) (22 February 2007)

  • Amend: Knockout Draw; Improved the layout for smaller draws to use more of the space available on the page.
  • Amend: Start Sheets; Names of Players no longer display in the pop-up list once they have been added to the Start Sheet.
  • Amend: Reports; In the Report Selection window the layout has been improved to reduce potential confusion when selecting All Members.
  • Amend: Player Entry; Improve positioning of text alongside buttons.
  • Fix (Ref. 70054) Player Entry; With a single opened competition, the Administration button was not displayed when there were no players available (such as all players had entered scores).

  • Fix (Ref. 70058) Competitions Scores Returned Report; Results for players who have played 2 or less qualifying scores in the review period where not highlighted when the report was generated for Men only.
  • Fix (Ref. 70059) Competition Report; Option "Total Score as First Column" was affecting competition formats other than Multiple-round competitions in error.
  • Fix (Ref. 70060) Lapsing Handicaps; Unexpected Error 5 ("Invalid procedure call or argument") could occur running "Lapse Handicaps after Annual Review..." option (not Society edition).
  • Fix (Ref. 70061) Competition Template; Default handicap allowance for Texas Scrambles was not being set correctly in Template Wizard.
  • Fix (Ref. 70062) Enter Scores; Same player could be chosen twice when entering scores for team events through HandicapMaster (administrator) windows.
  • Fix (Ref. 70063) Enter Scores; Players names were lost from list of players when cancelling a scorecard entry for team competition in some circumstances (using HandicapMaster "administrator" Score Entry windows).
  • Fix (Ref. 70064) Payment Window; Colour of titling on window was incorrect, obscuring text (Membership Subscriptions, Invoicing and Payments Option).
  • Fix (Ref. 70065) Player Entry; Player B handicap was not being recognised at Score Entry time if the competition was a Four Ball Best Ball competition and the players had been asked to Sign-in before play (Premier and Network editions).

HandicapMaster 7.0.18 (Update Package 117) (7 February 2007)

  • Amend: Player Entry; Improved recovery when network access to Database is lost and Leader Board in action.
  • Amend: Raise Subscription Wizard; Improved the wording on the 'Letters' page of the Wizard.

  • Amend: Handicap Record; When "View as Report" format is selected the Signature and Date items at the bottom of the report are now a fixed size font to prevent them wrapping over the end of the line.
  • Amend: Competition Winners Report; Amended to display overall winners from aggregated competitions and winners from individual rounds. An indication of those winners only relating to individual rounds of an aggregated competition is included. The report font is changed to Arial.
  • Fix (Ref. 70045): Summary of Scores report; Unexpected Error 3021 "Either BOF or EOF is True, or the current record has been deleted" occurred if all players with handicap records had their records starting after the start date of the report.
  • Fix (Ref. 70046): Network Edition; Unexpected Error 8004E014 "No Entry in sysdevices for backup device..." occurred if logical backup device definitions were not configured to SQL Server.
  • Fix (Ref. 70047): Membership Records; Duplicate records for Members were created if a new handicap record was started as part of changing a player's Home Club, when subsequently updating membership from an external membership system (Premier and Network editions only).
  • Fix (Ref. 70048): Letter Writer; Unexpected Error 80004005 "Key column information is insufficient or incorrect. Too many rows were affected by update." when trying to save changes to a letter with the same name as an existing letter.
  • Fix (Ref. 70049): Housekeeping; Unexpected Error 80040E14 "The objects "PAY_TRAN" and "PAY_TRAN" in the FROM clause have the same exposed names. Use correlation names to distinguish them." when housekeeping accounting data.
  • Fix (Ref. 70050): Knock Out Competitions; Selecting an individual competition to include or exclude for sending to MasterScoreboard.co.uk now only affects that competition.
  • Fix (Ref. 70051): Order Of Merit Report; Unexpected error 80004005 "Automation error Unspecified error" occurred when the option "Where two or more players tie, share available points Equally" was selected. (Network edition is NOT affected).
  • Fix (Ref. 70052): Competition Reports; When a competition note contains a semi-colon the text throughout the note is now correctly formatted, and a colon is substituted for any semi-colons.
  • Fix (Ref. 70053): Reports; Date used in "From Chosen Date..." selection window was not being remembered when following report was run.

HandicapMaster 7.0.17 (Update Package 115) (24 January 2007)

  • Amend: Telephone Numbers Report; Tidy presentation of telephone numbers on report.
  • Amend: Cosmetic correction to "Places" heading colour text.
  • Amend: Visitors; Handicap Records are now started for new visitor records 12 months prior to current date.
  • Amend: Import; Default values for 'Title' field no longer used. 'Title' field may be cleared using "CLEAR" in import file.
  • Amend: Edit Member; When a player is changed from Home to Away handicap, HandicapMaster no longer recommends a new Handicap Record is started for the player.
  • Fix (Ref. 70039): Import; Handicaps could be set above the maximums allowed using Import.
