Build 5.2.40 (6 Feb 2005)

  • AMEND - Amend Golf Courses list; Change name of Gilnahirk to Castlereagh Hills and add Clogher Valley and Lisselan.

  • AMEND - 'Grace' period for Club and Premier Edition registration code expiry amended to 45 days.

  • FIX - (Ref. 50096) Unable to Edit name of Golf Course due to Unexpected error occurring in module 'clsClubs/PutData' (Error 3200).

  • FIX - (Ref. 50097) Unexpected Error 91 (Object variable or With block variable not set) when running Ireland GOLFnet database upload on exiting HandicapMaster (CLUB and Premier Editions, Ireland Region only)

  • FIX - (Ref. 50098) Reports saved as PDF documents display as blank pages in Adobe Acrobat 7.
    Note: This repair in included in FULL SETUP versions 5.2.40 and later (only). For existing installations of HandicapMaster, a separate software update is available to resolve problem 50098.


Build 5.2.39 (13 Jan 2005)

  • AMEND - Change GOLFnet National System ID for 'Belturbet Golf Club' to 427 and remove GOLFnet ID for 'Lisnarick Golf Club' in HandicapMaster database. (CLUB and PREMIER Editions only)

  • AMEND – Revised CONGU Handicapping Decisions for 2005. HandicapMaster now prompts for Clause 19.8 adjustments for away scores for Men (England region only). This follows a late change by the English Golf Union to their 'Directions and Decisions' for 2005. (CLUB and PREMIER Editions only)

  • FIX - (Ref. 50095) Players with score 'No Return - Card Not Returned' are incorrectly placed in Division 1 irrespective of Player's Handicap.


Build 5.2.38 (20 Dec 2004)

  • AMEND – ‘Software End Date’ set back to 1st May 2006 following inclusion of 2005 CONGU Handicapping regulation changes. (CLUB and PREMIER Editions only)

  • AMEND – Revised CONGU Handicapping Decisions for 2005. When HandicapMaster is run after 31st December 2004, HandicapMaster will now prompt for Clause 19.8 adjustments for all Ladies’ Away Scores. This follows changes by the English Ladies Golf Association, Scottish ladies Golf Association and Welsh Ladies Golf Union for 2005. (CLUB and PREMIER Editions only)

  • AMEND - Score Entry message 'Handicap Not Valid' replaced with 'Handicap Unknown (when competition played)' to provide better guidance.

  • FIX - (Ref. 50094) Handicap Records incorrectly show Adjusted Gross Score of zero for non-qualifying competitions.


Build 5.2.37 (not general release build)

  • AMEND - CONGU Clause 20.2 Handicapping Regulations change. For competitions dated after 1st January 2005, the Competition Scratch Score (CSS) will only be set to the Standard Scratch Score (SSS) when 5 or less category 1 to 3 [4] golfers compete, if the computed CSS is less than the SSS. Otherwise the computed CSS will stand (CLUB and PREMIER editions only).

  • AMEND - Option to support Magentic Card Reader sending Carriage Return character is added to Configure Score Entry Wizard (PREMIER Edition only).


Build 5.2.36 (30 Nov 2004)

  • AMEND - Add option to Log Messages displayed at Score Entry time to \backup\ScoresEntered.txt file. Option is added to Configure Score Entry wizard.

  • AMEND - Message displayed at Score Entry time (when PIN number selection in operation and Enter key is pressed without any PIN number) is improved.

  • FIX - (Ref. 50091) Handicap List does not list players in correct Handicap Categories when categories have been modified from defaults (SOCIETY Edition only).

  • FIX - (Ref. 50092) Competition Winners report shows names of competitions according to the current name of the templates that were used, in error.

  • FIX - (Ref. 50093) Configure Score Entry wizard can lose selection setting 'PIN Number or Swipe Card' when Wizard is re-run (PREMIER Edition only).


Build 5.2.35 (23 Nov 2004)

  • AMEND - Exclude columns "Handicap Adjustment" and "Revised Exact Handicap" from Handicap Record Table/Report where player is an 'Away' handicap player (CLUB and PREMIER editions only).

  • FIX - (Ref. 50088) Competition results report does not always show players in alphabetical order within teams when both players of a team have the same surname (Foursomes, Greensomes and FBBB competitions).

  • FIX - (Ref. 50089) 'Cards Entered' total on Score Entry screen shows incorrect number when Player Sign-in before play is in operation (Premier Edition only). HandicapMaster now displays "X Players Signed In. Y Cards Entered." when one or more players have signed in without entering their score.

  • FIX - (Ref. 50090) 'Open a New Competition' wizard does not allow a venue to be selected if Standard Scratch Score has been entered between 40 and 50.


Build 5.2.34 (13 Nov 2004)

  • FIX - (Ref. 50087) Unexpected Error 36502 (Key is not unique in collection) when displaying list with no entries.


Build 5.2.33 (11 Nov 2004)

  • AMEND - If 'Enter Scores' is selected before setting up a competition template or opening a new competition, HandicapMaster now opens the appropriate Wizard to help.

  • AMEND - If the golf course details for a selected venue (chosen when opening a new competition) are not known, HandicapMaster now opens the Course Details window to allow entry of the missing details.

  • AMEND - When showing "No Records Found" in the main lists, all gaps appearing in blue selection line are now filled in and 'cross' icon is displayed.

  • FIX - (Ref. 50084) 'Enter' key fails to automatically trigger when Magnetic Card is swiped at Player Score Entry time (PREMIER edition only).

  • FIX - (Ref. 50085) Wrong player matched when Magnetic Swipe Card used and PIN numbers and Card Numbers are the same number of digits.

  • FIX - (Ref. 50086) Unexpected Error 3346 ('Anzahl der Abfragewerte und Zielfelder stimmt nicht überein') running Most Improved Golfer report ('German' Regional Settings in Windows).


Build 5.2.32 (1 Nov 2004)

  • AMEND - At Score Entry time, text alongside buttons on screen has been simplified and enlarged for easier reading.

  • AMEND - At Score Entry time, HandicapMaster now retries to reconnect with the Gemself Terminal (continuously) if an error occurs whilst the terminal is being used.

  • FIX - (Ref. 50079) Closed Competition list shows 'CSS Ladies' column incorrectly as 'N/Q RO' when competition CSS was reductions only for Ladies and the competition was a non-qualifier for men (CLUB and PREMIER editions only).

  • FIX - (Ref. 50080) Unable to backup or restore using Folder where Folder name is too long to display on the backup/restore window.

  • FIX - (Ref. 50081) 'Reduce Handicap' option at Score Entry time displays wrong starting handicap for reduction when competition is a Greensomes 1/2 combined handicap competition. This option has been removed for Foursomes and Greensomes competitions.

  • FIX - (Ref. 50082) 'All Members' list fails to be refreshed when a Member is changed to a Visitor, incorrectly leaving the player still listed in the Member list.

  • FIX - (Ref. 50083) Wrong Order of Merit points allocated for players with 'Card Not Returned' No return. This occurs if OOM points are being allocated on the basis of where players finish in a competition and points are being shared when players tie. NOTE: This repair sees HandicapMaster no longer allocating any points for No Returns which are 'Card Not Returned'.


Build 5.2.31 (15 Oct 2004)

  • AMEND - HandicapMaster now issues a warning if all opened competitions are future dated (and therefore currently unavailable to receive scores) when Enter Scores is selected.

  • AMEND - HandicapMaster now issues a warning if any of the golf course details are not known for a selected venue, when opening a new competition.

  • FIX - (Ref. 50074) Unexpected Error 3144 ('De instructie UPDATE bevat een syntaxisfout.') updating Golf Course details ('Belgium' Regional Settings in Windows).

  • FIX - (Ref. 50075) "Error 11 - Division by Zero" occurs backing up the database. This occurs if the 'Back up to Folder' address does not end with a '\' (slash).

  • FIX - (Ref. 50076) Score incorrectly being flagged as 'No Return; Card not Returned' in Four Ball Best Ball competition results when player A's score entered as NR on every hole, although Player B has completed one or more holes.

  • FIX - (Ref. 50077) Where 'Allow switching between List of Players and PIN numbers' is configured for Score Entry, HandicapMaster fails to return to the primary selection method after a player has previously used the option to switch to the alternative method.

  • FIX - (Ref. 50078) Incorrect Ireland GOLFnet club number used for Castleisland Golf Club. Also 'Lambeg Ladies' is missing from list of Irish GOLFnet clubs.
