Error 7 when running a report

When HandicapMaster draws the reports on screen, it tries to match the format and layout of the report to the capabilities of the default printer installed on the PC. The 'error 7 - Settings Not supported by the current device' message occurs when HandicapMaster is unable to determine an aspect of the current printer.

The most common cause of this message is running HandicapMaster on a computer which does not have any default printer configured to Windows.

If this is the case, please proceed as follows:

  1. From the Windows START button, select SETTINGS, then PRINTERS (or PRINTERS AND FAXES on Windows XP)
  2. Click ADD PRINTER
  3. Proceed through the Wizard, choosing GENERIC as the Manufacturer and GENERIC / TEXT ONLY as the Printer
