Error 7 when running a report
When HandicapMaster draws the reports on screen, it tries to match the format and layout of the report to the capabilities of the default printer installed on the PC. The 'error 7 - Settings Not supported by the current device' message occurs when HandicapMaster is unable to determine an aspect of the current printer.
The most common cause of this message is running HandicapMaster on a computer which does not have any default printer configured to Windows.
If this is the case, please proceed as follows:
- From the Windows START button, select SETTINGS, then PRINTERS (or PRINTERS AND FAXES on Windows XP)
- Click ADD PRINTER
- Proceed through the Wizard, You may choose any printer the following is a typical example: choose CANON as the Manufacturer and Canon Bubble-Jet BJ-30 as the Printer. Ensure you set it to be the system default printer.
