System Requirements

Network Edition

The Network Edition system requirements are different from those of our Premier, Club, Society and EGA editions which are described below.

Please Note: NETWORK edition is not supported on Windows 98 or Windows Millennium.

Equipment


Disk Space

  • HandicapMaster requires approximately 30MB of hard disk space to operate.
Note this figure does not include disk space for data storage which depends on various factors.

Hardware

It is recommended that

  • HandicapMaster be run on a personal computer running not less than a Intel® Pentium or AMD® Athlon microprocessor
  • The monitor should be set for 'high colour' mode.
  • The system have a page printer available for use

Microsoft Windows®

HandicapMaster will run on any of the following versions of Microsoft Windows (#1) including 32-bit and 64 bit versions:

  • Windows 7 (#2)
  • Windows Vista (#2)
  • Windows XP

HandicapMaster version 8 requires the the Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0 be installed on your computer. When you install HandicapMaster version 8 if your computer is connected to the internet and the .NET framework 2.0 is not installed then it will be downloaded automatically. However if you computer is not connected to the internet then the above link may be used to download a copy that may then be copied to removable media and take to the offline computer.

Note that this has a number of software and hardware pre-requisites as detailed at the above link.

We also recommend that your version of windows is regularly updated with the most recent security updates from Microsoft.

It may also run on some earlier versions of Windows, but read these notes about installing on older versions of Windows.

Note #1: Non-English Language versions of Windows (such as Japanese Language) are not supported.

Note #2: All editions of HandicapMaster from Version 7 onwards will operate with Windows Vista and Windows 7.
