These notes provide an outline of the change to the Ladies Handicapping Scheme that came into effect on 1st February 2003.

Calculation of Competition Scratch Score

1. The Ladies Golf Union has announced a change to the way the Competition Scratch Score is to be calculated.

   From February 2003, it will be necessary for there to be more than 10 ladies with handicaps up to 28 (categories 1 to 4) to have played in a competition for a Competition Scratch Score to be calculated.

   If 10 or less ladies (with handicaps in categories 1 to 4) play in a competition, then the LGU Scratch Score is to be used as the CSS.
